That figures cause when they do seize, they break that little pin in the case and then start eating the case up.

DO us a favor. Spread out what you DO have, good and bad so we can see it all.

Ok so there is a cross shaft there. So all I see you need are the axle side gears, the two small spider gears and one shim. and of course the cones cleaned up, machined and the unit shimmed and reassembled. Will that do it?

Question, what does one do to break the spider gears, as shown in the photos?
Would that be from fatigue, from too many hard uses?
Or some one time act?
Or something else broke and the spiders are the victim?

Maybe @fishy68 has some parts. How bout it Tracy? You got any of the stuff to help make this sure grip good again? Roy says he has all of it BUT the two small spider gears.

I believe I have the other bolt , can not find shim .
Let me know what to do or who I should send to ?
Also cost of mach. work and parts.
Nothing in this world is free, and I don't expect either of you to foot MY bill.
Much mahalo for both of your help, Be expecting Kona coffee & Mac nuts coming your way ASAP. C

Usually in my experience, a cone SG starts with the cones bottoming out and no longer is a SG. With high HP and burn outs spinning only one wheel, the small spider gears start creating so much heat they weld themselves to the shaft, which in turn causes the shaft to spin, shearing of or breaking the pin holding it. With continued use, the case where the shaft sits, wear the hole bigger. In this case it looks like a foreign piece got in there and ground up everything. Maybe a gear tooth that broke. When we find the black box we will know for sure. lol

Feel free to send it here if you want. I wont charge a dime. I'll do it because I want to help you straighten some of this mess out. At least when we're done, you'll have a good working sure grip.

I am in need of some seat covers for my 64 Valiant, but that's gonna be hard to find. I'll be glad to do it just to help you out.

FYI. Since shipping that thing cost a lot. You can send it state side in a Medium flat rate box. As long as it is apart it will fit. Now once it is assembled, it will no longer fit. Then?
