Hi Guys - I've been away from the old Mopar action for a while. Last week I stumbled across a 71 340 Duster last week that I just HAD TO BUY. Many of you guys will remember the article in Hemmings Muscle Machines showing the Bahama Yellow 71 on the cover doing a nice smokey burnout - well she came up for sale last week and I jumped on her. Can't wait to see it in my garage! Any one close to the Wakefield area in greater Boston?

Watertown no kidding, a good buddy of mine lives there. Anyhow I’m originally from Lowell, ma. Living in GA now. Nice ride!

Nice Duster Dave! I had a 1971 Bahama Yellow Duster 340 4 speed. I sold it and regretted it as soon as I cashed the check.
I now have a 1972 Duster 340 4 speed. I’m happy again.
Question; I’m looking for a shifter mounting bracket before Saturday. Can anyone help me?

Nice to meet you - great looking car! I'm actually toying with the idea of converting mine over to a stick car - I feel it would be easier to drive with this engine.

Any engine specs on that road ripper!?:steering:

It's the #'s matching 340 block with a Scat 416 stroker rotating assembly with Keith Black pistons, 11.5:1 compression, 8qt milodon pan, 308 Swirl-port heads with 2.02/1.60 valves cut into them, Edelbrock single plane alum intake, 850 cfm Quick Fuel Tech carb, ceramic coated Hooker headers (w/electric cutouts), runs on 93 octane pump gas but LOVES the 110 octane race fuel, which I run most of the time. The trans is a built 727 with a manual valve body and 3,500 stall. 3:55 SureGrip (8-3/4") out back. I'm actually thinking of swapping out the automatic in favor of a 4 or 5-spd manual.
