Does anyone have a preference/ suggestions on type motor/ mid plate for abody r3 block and a Reid case power glide.it has the Mopar bell. new territory for me. car has a RMS altercation front and no motor mounts on BLK or kframe. I have a new motor plate. a few pictures of some abodies with out the engine in and mid plate installed would help me get my head around installing this beast of a motor

I have a few of mine during the mockup.
Maybe they will help.
My front plate is an ar engineering and my midplate is a comp engineering .090 thick.

No motor mounts on engine indicates to me that you have a short deck block which would be a different plate (motor) than a tall deck R3.

It is the 9.200 deck block.that is good to know. I have a motor plate for a standard deck height block.didnt even consider the motor plate being different..thanks alot for that tip. I will see about finding the correct motor plate.the r3 stuff is new to me. I have only had LA stuff in the past.the engine came with the car, but wasn't in the car.its gonna be fast

I’ll have to recant that statement.... motor plate (between pump and timing cover should be ok (same), it’s where the timing cover meets the block where you run into differences..... the 9.0/9.2 deck require the unobtanium “Arrow” timing cover, or in the case of belt drive a spacer/adapter. Sorry for the wrong statement.... this stuff still makes my head explode. I have a 9.20 deck W8 we run in the car, and a 9.0 deck W8 mill on the stand.

I just had the water pump gasket matching them up.the holes line up.except the 2 that are rt beside the outer water pump bolts going thru the timing cover. I'm reading what I can find about the difference between the la/r3 . thanks for your help. I'm sure I will have a few more questions..

Christ Alston has a steel mid plate used it on my 67 dart. Mine required trimming which I think most do too.
