The steering gear box, if I remember correctly, is attached to the frame and not the k-frame with a welded on bracket. it's been ages since I looked at my "Hey Charger" magazines.

Here are some images that will show you some dash, steering and firewall detail. The top engine bay photo is my 70 Valiant Hardtop (Dart) Auto floor shift car so shifter linkages were pretty much identical to US.
Abdywgn is correct in saying that the steering box is frame mounted. Engines were still offset as per the US so this makes for an interesting fit for headers etc.

Thank you so much. I was wondering what if any changes were done to the firewall?

Interesting how the firewall has oval cowl plugs like on the 66 and older, Not sure why, but I was not expecting to see the entire firewall being a different stamping. But it makes sense!
