well... after a lot of tugging... IT'S HOME! but the question still stands whether it's salvageable or not. I know the drivers side floors are bad, all 4 brakes are locked up and the engine wont turn when tugging on the fan - which doesn't necessarily mean it's locked up. Went a little too crazy pulling on it and busted the rear bumper up :( Nothing that couldn't be straightened out in my opinion. My first plan was to part it, then sell whatever was left... but now I think I'm just going to keep it. Some non-essential parts are already called for, and that's fine. I'll find replacements some day if it ever gets back on the road. I want to get all the carpets out, pull the seats and try and clean them, and then get everything sanitized. I want the A/C and power steering for my duster, and then I'll just put the manual rack on this. Basically, it'll just sit in the yard and I'll tinker on it. I see no reason to crush this one!

I would buy it! $600.00 is not a lot of money, if you really think about it. So you don't go out to dinner and drink at home instead of drinking at the restaurant for about a month, and you will save that amount! I know that later on down the road you will be kicking yourself if you don't buy it!

Well guys... option #2 is no longer feasible........... see pics below: also looks like the crankcase had a few inches of water. I believe the trans is still good!

Anyone need any parts? I'm already stocked with boxes and packing material!

Do I need to make an official parts thread?

You are a hero and an inspiration! where did your grille go?
I bought the car like that, I guess the guy before me got into a fender bender and lost the grill and bezels. I had to put the motor back together because idk what they were doing to it, the rods were off and after putting it together the compression was around 70 to 90 psi on the cylinders. I put a new head gasket on and got all of them around 120 psi which is good.
