Stop in for a cup of coffee

Time for a break. Have to press off old bearings, press on new ones. here’s my take on the situation- its full of sparkles. Like everywhere. But no real bad edges on ring/pinion. Bearings imho are all junk. Outer pinion especially.
it was repaired 2x previous. Bet last time it wasnt thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning takes time,as long as tech can slam it together and under book rate hes making good coin. Knows damn well it wont go bad for a long time.
Garage that does service never pulls plugs and checks oil, otherwise it may have been caught. Magnetic plug was red locktited in. (Piss me off)
So, i cleaned it thoroughly, clean and dry inside, near zero metal flakes. And domestic bearings going in.

They tell me I have knee valgus and want to fix it.

Apparently my knees are not straight like they are supposed to be.

I never noticed it before and I walk, dance and feel fine but they are saying it's not good geometry.

So now I am paranoid and feel like I need longer skirts to cover my knees.

Basically this:

Do your knees hit when you walk???

Then don't worry about it...

Don't forget cam bearings.

So many guys I talk to don't change cam bearings.

Really, you're going to trust 50 year old cam bearings??

Plus I want them to change cam bearings because most of them give me 20 bucks to change them because i have my own cam bearing tool LOL.

You might remember I had to buy a new cam bearing tool after I loaned out my old one and a former "friend" screwed me over on it.

I appreciate the cam bearing tool.... Thanks... :D :poke:

Bearing kit is (expletive) wrong!!
I looked it up so only me to blame. I think. But parts warehouse subbed the kit so i dont know.

Dead in the water until 2:00 tomorrow, cant even work on fargo, its too cold. Darn it.

I started cleaning in the garage and the sun came out. Hmmm. Yard sale! Drug a bunch of stuff out. Not many stopping, but sold stuff to 3 out of 4 customers and made over 90bucks. And best of all its some of the big junk that was taking up a lot of space between garageand shed.

Malt-O-Meal, Good Stuff
Grandma used to make it with Brown Sugar and Salt . .

Made right here in Northfield Minnesota. Some days depending on what they are cooking at the plant, the whole town can smell like malt-o-meal. Lol . .

We have a Nestle plant 20 min north. The whole town smells like chocolate. We had a Wonder bakery downtown that closed. It always smelled like fresh baked bread. Yum. The old building got bought and turned into a very sucessful microbrewery/restaurant. I don't smell beer though! LOL

There was a Union Sugar mill on the west side of town. Prevailing winds W or NW.
They used to grow a lot of sugar beets here in the valley, when the plant was still open, and imported the beets from all over SoCal. When they were cooking beets town smelled like baked potatoes. You would be surprised how much soil sticks to those beets after harvest. There are still piles of that soil on the old property, 1000s of tons of it. It gets sold off as fill material now. That particular stretch of road behind those piles was one of the more popular areas for illicit speed contests .
