I thought someone would like to see the bracket from Vintage Air, this will mount the Sanden 508 compressor, alternator, and the PS pump, it mounts to the water pump and they give You all the hardware/spacers to mount it. It comes in bare metal.

not sure, the early WP is different, i'll set my old pump back up there and see, bear with me, might be tomorrow.
 
This mount kit will not fit the 66. They have one for 69 and earlier, I'll get the number tomorrow. It looks like it will work fairly well but moves the alternator to the driver's side, if that might be a problem.

Thanks so much ,I have factory air but the ,bracket tensioner is missing and very hard to find,Thanks again
 
Sorry it took so long to get back. The Vintage Air bracket kit for 69 and earlier is 161004. You have to download the installation instructions to see what it looks like. I saw one installed on a 68 Barracuda and he had the alternator mounted in the stock location. Take a look.
 
Thanks for sharing the bracket. It doesn't appear that you have to PS to make it work

What did it cost? I also wonder if the compressor is available with a serpentine belt to match the March pullies? That would be cool!
 
I will add that my Vintage Air Sure-fit kit for 1968 B body and LA small block with EQ heads, came with a 1970 and up LA engine bracket kit (162774) that fit my early water pump (fabbed 2 spacers) and cleared the Pro Flo 4. I haven't lined up the pulleys but they can be shimmed if necessary.

This is the Vintage Air Kit 162774 on a 318/390 stroker for my 68 Coronet wagon. The wagon is a factory A/C car and uses the cast iron water pump. I had to make 2 spacers out of some stock to fill the gaps on 2 bolts. Hope this helps.
 
Ok. I need to clarify, again. Of the 8 mounting holes on the compressor 3 are bolted to the main bracket. 2 lower front and 1 lower rear holes are bolted.
