ProComp/Speedmaster aluminum heads

It's not simple when you've never done it before...
I should say I have assembled and disassembled heads lapped valves and all that kind of stuff. On a $50 318 and some old 360 heads I had laying around. I was mismatching different Springs and different retainers from the original 318 heads over to the 360 heads with some 360 intake valves that I had from a different head completely. Slept it all together it ran like a top and even posted a video of me drag racing it...

Ummmmm... these are the projects that never blow up. When you get so involved that your a mad scientist, you find every reason why it will blow up and then.... it does!!!!!!

This isn't a $50 318 I'll be checking stuff out...

I know, need you remind me again... it's soon to be a 7k stroker motor.... I'd have to go 10's for that kind of money, but that's just me

if we're just throwing out arbitrary numbers could you please make it like 10 or 12 K I may need to sell this one day...
well, you had said 6k, so I was just adding the 1k you'll have in the heads. pretty easy math, but I know, there are more than 1 way to skin a cat :D

go ahead and take the win on this one I'm just tired of this same old loop-de-loop it doesn't even entertain me anymore...

^^I was really trying to gain knowledge about these heads and try to get them put on and see how they work. It's going to be sometime and I'm trying to gain some information...

The time to learn is now, your car, your money( I know this concerns you) Your way.
Money never concerned me when it comes to the car or any hobby.
I learned a long time ago, do it yourself, because when it comes time for the blame, the other guy won't except it.
Do you have the tool list made yet.

Right now I'm definitely looking at the Speedmaster stud kit. I have $80 left on the card and if I can get them for around 60 that will pay for shipping as well...
I'm going to be about a little over $100 in gaskets and I'm hoping Santa will throw to $15 8553 Fel Pro gaskets a $28 Fel Pro 1213 s set of intake gaskets a $37 set of remflex header gaskets and new valve cover gaskets.
I'll probably put some kind of brake cleaner or something down the porch to see if they leak. Then I'll probably disassemble and keep everything and their prospective order. I'll probably take them to a machine shop and have them check the flatness of the bottom surface. I'll have them check install Heights. And valve guide Clarence. And I will expect this to be a do it while I wait kind of thing and if not I'll take them to somebody who will. I do not like things to get out of my hands...

I've been watching the Speedmaster 79. Com site and it seems there now starting to post reviews.. of course they're all five star reviews and they're all one or two short liners... Fast delivery... Looks great... Only one on there that said "we'll see".. lol..

Only you would buy a set of heads and keep looking at reviews. lol
The heads will be fine and should improve performance.

I just noticed the reviews because I'm watching their site for another sale to happen so I can get the head bolts or studs...

If I reach my goal of not having to use a little 110 Sunoco I'll miss the smell that's for sure....

I was kind of wondering if the characteristics would change at least the way my motor would run not having an open chamber head anymore..

you have to run higher compression with aluminum heads or they loose power
