Has anyone bought any body panels from rockauto? Like quarter panels? I’m curious on the quality of them since the prices are 1/4 of the price of anywhere else.

Comparable to Cross Canada, have used both, probably not up to AMD quality, but if you're not doing a concours restoration, they are a decent quality part.

You’re not comparing like to like if you’re seeing them as 1/4 the price. RockAuto sells Goodmark and Sherman skins- they aren’t full quarters, they’re just skins. Look them up by part number and compare them to Summit. Prices are within about $40. Now compare shipping costs.

Goodmark panels are usually pretty decent, Sherman are “ok” but I think they’re better suited for patches vs full replacement panels. And using a skin is a whole different ballgame from a full, factory style panel like AMD makes.

True, but the exchange rate is seriously highway robbery, I bought a set of TTi headers in September, paid $923.00 USD, including shipping to the border. My credit card charge was $1253.00 CAD. If you have it shipped to a Canadian address you are also going to be paying brokerage fees and GST/duty. It is possible to avoid the brokerage fees if you are familiar with and able to handle the import process yourself. It's not complicated, but it does require some effort and legwork.

Some enterprising Canadian should start a Summit - like business in Canada. That would solve the shipping expense problem. Not sure what to do about the exchange rate.

You can get goodmarks from www.getallparts.com for dirt cheap plus shipping. I got my 67 cuda skins along with a goodmark battery tray all for $311 shipped to my doorstep about 5 years ago. Then I bought a pair of these same skins for my sons 69 notch from www.getallparts.com about 2 years ago without a battery tray, and using an online discount code, I payed $313 shipped for the pair.

If you're looking for sheet metal, as much as I hate to further fund Amazon, they do sale from time to time, full quarters, skins and such from Goodmark and AMD. Price per panel is pretty much the exact same as anywhere else, BUT if you have PRIME, the shipping is free, saving you a few hundred bucks.

And my 67s about 5 years ago were $311 a pair to my doorstep with a battery tray, and no discount code. I pulled the trigger on those and waited for extra back charges to show up on my credit card, and they never did. It's totally legit brother. Another canuck member I told this to ordered one for a 69 barracuda, and picked it up at the border, trucked it across.

They have goodmark non remote sideview mirrors too. Look em up for dodge dart. Bought a pair for my sons car. Thru them. Super cheap price. The non remote one can be used either side.

No $313 a pair to my doorstep. With a discount code.
yeah see, I click that link , I see a price of 312.48 for the drivers side and 300.51 for the passenger side.

And sadly, they don't make anything for the 64 B bodies :(

Also had a goodmark repop half horn ring style steering wheel in black for $95. I bought that too. I think yearones price on that is $230

Just pulled this up 67 barracuda. Heres screen shot. Still good price. With a discount code it may beat up the shipping

They only showed the RH dart skin from 70-76 as the same part number. Would have to weld up and move the hole. but the price was still about $150 heres next just now screen shot

There are several companies in Canada that offer many of the same parts as Summit or Jegs, but there is no getting around the exchange rate or shipping charges from the U.S. especially when dealing with large items like body panels. Many of them at one time would simply forward your order to the American retailer. I inquired with a local speed shop about TTi headers when I bought my first set around 2002, and all they offered to do was order them on my behalf, and I would have to pay them up front, I called TTi directly and sent them a money order instead.

Ordered quarters for my '72 Swinger from getallparts last summer. Someone else had posted a link at that time about the shipping. I was like $13 to ship each quarter. Someone finally must have caught a bug in their shipping calculator as I rechecked a couple months ago and it was like 100 a piece to ship the same quarters.
