Starting on a new project. After selling the 64 Valiant, I bought a freshly restored 1967 Barracuda. Going to tear it all down (except the exterior paint), make some cool mods and swap in all new Hellcat motor and 8 speed HP90 transmission.

You're not messing around, car and crate in the shed already. Good luck with this one! Looking forward to the progress!

I'm a little torn on this one.

Part of me is saying ~ hell yes drop a Hellcat in a 67 Barracuda!
And then the other voice is saying ~ but look at that beautiful car the way it already is!

Not to say I'm not doing horrible, horrible things with my car, but it's just a 73 beaker...
Either way, I'm definitely gonna watch this one.

Better plan on some brake, suspension, chassis, and tire mods to handle it. Should be a fun sleeper.

It's not a special car at all. I just look at it as if all of the heartache and time to get the paint the way I want it is done.

My '68 Barracuda convertible has the full US Cartool chassis stiffening kit in it. A custom triangulated Monte Carlo bar might be wise too, and you better install a full cage, 4 wheel disc brakes and some good shocks. It would be nice to have an upgraded front and rear suspension too.

I figure your power level will be just about perfect.

Some pretty and clean sheet metal under that undercoat. Starting on the mini tub too, I see.

What do you plan to use for transmission control? Stock stuff ?

Long weekend! Finished the mini tubs. I cut into the frame rail 1" and added 1" to the inside to maintain the 2" frame rail. Also reinforced the inside of the frame rails.
