Been trolling on here for years but never take time to sign in. I've found a lot of useful info on this site. I have a 73 duster that I finally got on the road this past spring after working on it since 2006.

Looks pretty darn good, you should be very proud of your efforts. Tell us more about it.

Thanks to all. I bought the car in 2006 with blown-up slant six in it. Lucked into a 74 Valiant donor about a month later. Transplanted 318/904/7 1/4" big bolt and front disc brakes from Valiant. After selling what was left, I ended up with about $400 in the entire drive-train and brakes. Best deal I'll probably ever stumble into. Car is very solid underneath, originally from out west. Had to patch a number of the normal rust locations, but nothing major. A pro could have probably had the body knocked out and painted in a matter of weeks. Took me twelve years. Liked the original gold color, but as a rookie, I didn't feel comfortable trying to spray a metallic color. Ended up going with yellow because I wanted a light solid to hide as much amateur bodywork as possible. Engine is all stock except for duals and recurved
distributor currently. I do have an Edelbrock 600 and a Performer intake to install when I get time. Been trying to catch up on around the house chores to free up some play time to work on the car. Doing the timing chain as preventative at the same time.

Dusters are the best! Light weight, not too big, semi-fast back!

Welcome to FABO, it's good that you took the time to get back on the road....nice.
