Indy Cylinder Head business sold

This should be good for the Mopar community, hopefully they'll develop some products for us.

How about a nice small block to build a 450 cubic inch engine, machined ready to build for 3800 dollars and get big blocks flowing freely again.

WOW! Now there is a POP! Surprise.

A ready to build common problem corrected block? Ready to rock after final bore and hone? Sure......

Sounds like a personnel change is in order. Customer service is the top goal for a successful company. Don't forget who pays your bills.

I dunno, was hoping a large Company (like Holley) would finalize the deal.
Wonder if they will continue to build motors or just sell product.

Not sure these new Owners have the capital to take it to the next level.
I think they'll probably flip it to a large Corporation if the opportunity comes along.

Will we ever see steel big blocks produced LONG TERM?
Aluminum Blocks are way out of the average Racers budget.

I shared this on Facebook too and on it I mentioned that Shumucker wanted to buy Indy a couple of years ago. Wouldn't it be nice if they could work together and straighten out their casting issues and make the Mopar market "great again"

Oh that’s good to read. Strangers to me. Gotta give a fist pump for MoPar racers picking up Indy cylinder head. Much better than some big corporation that knows nothing. You never know about these thing. It could have been Nabisco! LMAO!!!!

The Wheatcrafts are good people, hope nothing but success!

I am glad to hear this. Even at their annual swap meet in Indy, they were arrogant, too good to answer any of my questions about their products, and the times I tried, I had the money to buy.

I hope the new owners still hold the swap meet in March, its one thing my son's and I look forward to all winter.

This could be a really good thing for Mopar folks.

It’ll be interesting to see how it shakes out.

From what I’ve seen over the past few years(with regard to overall fit and finish of cylinder heads), it certainly appeared some of the equipment is likely overdue for replacement.

Yup. And that ain't cheep either.

I hope they get it turned around. More buying options is always better.

I was under the impression that Indy's block was the same as the Mopar performance block, made by world. I also thought that it was Mopar's design and never finished paying world, so world won't make more for them.

Ain't that the truth. After about the 3rd insult from Russ, I just walked away with my money for a new engine and built one myself. Couldn't take his **** anymore.

I called and tried to talk to them about their gen 3 426 crate engine. They/he (don't know who it was that I actually talked to) just said, "Send us half the money, then we'll talk.". Turned me off. Hughes got my money.

This is great news! I don't know the new owners, but there is absolutely no way they could be any worse than the previous owner....he was literally the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life...

I’ve talked to the whea

Talked to a few of them at races here in Ohio and they were super friendly to me (complete stranger). I’ve avoided buying from Indy after dealing with their customer service so hopefully it changes.

It was only a matter of time, awesome news though.
