So what would it take to make a 6.4L work with the msd hemi ign box? The reluctor wheel isnt the same as a 5.7 or 6.1? Im new too this hemi stuff but im intrigued by the idea of lighter, more powerful tech than my w-2 340. Getting tired of race fuel

The short answer is you wouldn't want to use the MSD. Not only does it use a different wheel but the 392 has other features that you don't want to throw away by using a carburetor. Instead you'd use the factory PCM with an aftermarket wiring harness.

I haven't seen this shared yet on here, but I'm assuming that everyone knows that Mopar is getting into the Hemi swap game. Here is one of the pages out of their catalog.

Any where else that has complete kits like that so you don't have to piece it together, other than Bouchillon? They seem to be on the high side on prices. I've found the hotwire auto for harnesses, tanks inc. for fuel system help, TTI for headers and mounts, but I'm trying to piece together a list of what I need for my swap into my 75 Swinger, but haven't found a definitive list to use as a good reference of what and where.

How have I not come across this place before? Basically follow the instructions on the site and it'll help take care of making your own harness, other than that I saw a couple tid bits on recommended distributors(looks like sponsors) and the oil pan/motor mounts needed.

Hey 3rd Gen Hemi guys - can we start an official thread with links to common modifications, issues, builds, etc? Feel free to post pics, info, links to other sites and retailers - anything that you may feel is relevent to the 3rd Gen Hemi. Let's see some of your builds - what you did, how you did it, and from what places you got your info.

Maybe we can get this thread sticky-ed and use it as a reference.
I just saw this one, I have just posted a new thread in the new Hemi swap category. It details my effort to install a 6.1 in my 72 Demon. I will start posting here.

Hello, i recently bought a 5,7 hemi 2013 year model with vvt and eagle heads.
With the vvt i have read that i couldt run a carb?
I did not get any intake or throttelbody.
What do i need to get this engine running in an abody? Bought it for 500$.

Thx thats more like it.
But lets say i wanna run it with a supercharger and do a full on engine rebuild and change cam, rods, pistons. Is there a easy way to run it or does it all need all the electronics?
Just wondering for future refercens.

I can only supply you with links that may lead you to your answers.

then you keep adding options, til you hit $2k in no time

Not sure if this is "covered" but I'm sure it's subjective. What's a reasonable price one should expect to pay for a 2007 6.1? Engine apparently has a spun rod bearing. Not sure of the condition of the rod and crank journal, but lets assume they're "ok".
