Some years back I was stalking eBay and spotted some w9 heads new in the box with valves. I think 300 a pair, bought 2 pair. Hell of a deal.

They take Eddy style bolts/studs. I think a couple of them are longer than stock? So stock would work for most of them if you can dig up the longer ones.
 
OK, called SM today, they are outta stock on the rocker assemblies, The guy I talked to said online sales dropped the ball and should have contacted me long ago. They are gonna ship the heads and intake, refund the rocker money till they come in and then contact me to pay for the rockers at the same price I paid.
I also asked about the card being used locally, he swears they are secure, I'll let it go, since it didn't cost me nuffin.

I had the same issue with the rockers and ended up cancelling them as well just to get the heads. I don't know why they couldn't just send the heads out and the rockers later like everybody else does.

Yeah I know but there is this thing called "customer service" that seems to have more to do with success now days then price, an we won't even talk about quality :D

$703 for a set of aluminum heads loaded to the door.. you can't get one Edelbrock head for that much... I got a set for 820 in September when they had the 30% off sale and I was happy as punch...

I went two more rounds with Jegs today over that cheap pair of headers that they sent me and their customer service sucked!.. and according to PBR... He wouldn't buy another Edelbrock head and is happy with the quality of the speedmasters more... Not the same quality of valve job but he can do that...
Now stop trying to make yourself feel good about all the money you spent on trick flows...:poke:..:D...

I mostly use summit, they have treated me the best. I will never have to make myself feel good about my heads, you just need to stop feeling so poorly about your's lol. I have had rpms as well and the sm castings are nicer but I would use my own hardware.

I'm very happy with mine and they're going nowhere but on my car..
Yes I'm always happy with Summit and 90% of the time order my stuff from them. I even had them price match some of the Speedmaster stuff when they had their sale.. new head studs and gaskets from Summit from Speedmaster..
when I had a problem with one of the carburetors from Summit they just sent me a new one and said make sure to send the other one back within 28 days..
Also summit sends a return label with a receipt with every purchase.. on the other hand Jegs makes you wait till they mail you one or you have to have a printer.. then they won't do anything till they receive their product back.. I asked them to pull us out and look at them because they're not the quality that I've seen other members here have and they wouldn't do it unless I was ready to purchase another set.. I'm just going to get my money back and forget them...

The above was 30 December.

Still nothing from Speedmaster, NO heads, NO intake, NO rockers, NO pushrod kit, No refund on the rockers, etc. No contact. Called again today, no clear answer as to WTFIGO !, I said to cancel the refund since Josh told me he would send a refund and when they came in I could buy them at the promo price, course I had nothing but His word, nothing in writing. So today I'm talking to someone named Jason, He said He would take care of the situation and apologized six ways from Sunday, I told him to cancel the refund on the rockers, etc since I purchased them on promo, that's the price they commited to.
So I get off the phone, walk in the house and there's an email from "speed" master, management says they won't honor the promo price on rockers, etc.
I have had about 1150 bucks tied up with these yahoo's, no product, no contact, and now they are going back on their word, all that plus the little hijacked credit card fiasco!

Hello,

As per our conversation we are going to ask when these rockers are going to be replenished in case you want to wait instead of the refund.

The management has stated that we can not honor black friday pricing.

Let me find out how much longer it will be before the rockers are in stock.

Yep, Josh and Jason sounded like stand up guys to Me also, but You read my post.
