hi there, sorry if it’s been asked before. But, what could i reasonable expect to sell a set of A body 340 motor mounts for. Both brackets each side (left and right engine and K-member metal brackets) and the rubber mounts in between them.

Selling them locally and know they are hard to get, don’t want to give them away and then kick myself in the butt when I need to buy them back. Lol

What year we talking here?
May also be available aftermarket for a reference.

Very easy to make and are available aftermarket, so you're not gonna get rich.

Well, they’re not easy to make and are absolutely not available in the aftermarket. But thanks for your reply

People have modified 318 mounts for decades and yes they are in the aftermarket. You're not looking hard enough. You asked. It's not my fault if the answer is not what you want to hear.

The ones in the original posters pic look like B/E body style I am going to say about $100 +or - $20 JMO

Start out at $100. If no one buys them for that you can always come down.

Rusty is referring to adding a spacer to a 318 mount . Not too hard.

I know that’s what he’s referring to, but you can’t just go out and ‘make’ 340 mounts, and NO they are not available in the after market. Further more, adding a bunch of washers and shims to a wrong 318 mount isn’t anywhere near as good as a proper 340 mount. He just needs to actually read my reply. Yes you can buy shumaker (so?) or other people’s house made brands, but NO you can’t buy oem 340 mounts.

But he drives a ‘rusty rat rod’ so I get where he’s coming from and know what I could expect if I bought a car off him.

What are you building?

You asked for a " quick WIW " and got a couple answers. No need to be condescending to anyone.

No one insulted you. You asked a question. I answered. But I thank you.

You need to tell us the whole story. You found the parts and the seller wants X $$$ for them and you don't want to get ripped off or you have a set of NOS parts you mentioned and you want to know what you can sell them for.

I have them and want to sell them for a reasonable amount.

What ever. Rusty was perhaps the one with snide remarks

Nothing I said was sideways or out of the way. That was your perception because you didn't agree with it.

These are not available and not the same.

I’m beginning to regret asking this question. Wow.

There are originals on ebay right now. Go look for yourself. You can also look for what some sold for on Ebay in the recent past.

Now, even though I was insulted, as of right now, I've helped you more than anyone.

The mounts you have pictured are not a pair for a 340 A-body. Better identify them correctly or you will giving someone their money back. I am not going to tell you what they fit or worth because you will really get aggravated.

You bought something that won't work for you. Don't try and scam someone on here . I just made you aware you don't know what you have. Seams to me your looking for a offer on this site.

Put them on craigs list and take what ever you get that is close to what you paid. There are times you just have to take it on the chin when you make a mistake.

If you actually read my first post you’d realize I’m not offering them to anyone on this site, and no I didn’t just buy them for anything. And I haven’t made any ‘mistakes’. I acquired these in a lot of parts I received a long time ago, they look super similar to a set I had on my 69 swinger 340 AND I’m selling them to a person in my local community and am looking for a fair price for both parties. So if you don’t have anything of value to contribute perhaps you should just not say anything at all.

To be clear to everyone - a have a pair of stupid mounts, they are for a small block 340, I didn’t buy the for something and find that aren’t going to work for me, I just want to sell them and want to be fair to both parties. Rusty, the reason I made my comments is because of your ‘you’re not gonna rich’ comments. I’m not ripping anyone off, so if anyone else feels like they want to chime in to give me what for please don’t.

I’m basing the fact that these are 340 mounts base on the following pictures and the fact that I’m sure I had this very set in my 69 swinger 340 car.

I’m aware you can make just about anything work with 70 washers as shims, but for people who like the proper part, which aren’t re-produced, here they are, have a good look, but, No they are not for sale to you as they are spoken for.

You’ll notice mine (below) is the same. What you’re also not seeing is the metal k-member side and insulator. These are totally complete and in excellent shape, although dirty.
