Graveyard Cars - 71 Demon

I agree with you but it's nice to have a Mopar TV show even if it's fake. I like some of their tech info when they actually show it. Would be nice to see some A bodies for once.

Agree, the b bodies are getting old , same ole same ole-------------

Google says:

"Does Mark Worman have a wife?
Mark, together with his wife, share a beautiful daughter named, Allysa Rose. She is also a cast member in the show Graveyard Carzalong along with her father. Allysa Rose was previously married to Josh Rose and is the mother of two daughters marking Mark as a grandfather.Jun 13, 2018"

"Is Allysa Rose Mark Worman's daughter?
Yes, Graveyard Carz cast Mark Worman has a child. A daughter and what's surprising is that you know her from the show. She goes by the name Allysa Rose who is presently 27 years."

So, per your neighbor, it's all fake ?

My understanding is she’s adopted. Just going off what I was told. Source is trustworthy and reliable. But as with anything on the internet, taken with a grain of salt

I really try to like GYC. I want to like it but I find the only way I can watch it is to DVR it. Skip through the drama, Skip or mute through any scene with Mark Worman talking and let it play when the cars are on the screen,

People seem to either love or hate Mark. I understand that, but would think most mopar people would at least support the show without all the negative and derogatory comments while hiding behind an Internet screen name. As a mopar fan, I find it pretty amazing that we can watch our favorite cars being restored on tv. Growing up, mopar were always overshadowed by the ford and GM people. Pretty awesome to see people interested in our cars, even if I can’t stand some of the antics on the show.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Some people aren't pleased with anything.
However, I do agree that the show this season took a turn for the worse with more horse play and theatrics and less car building as the focus.
I understand that in future episodes, they are going away from that and back to a more informative and hands on approach as the main focus again.
IMHO, this show is leaps and bounds better than say Count's Customs, where they show 10% of the car build and the rest of the show focuses on B.S. acting and drama and how much money they can make.
I think that Mark Worman is a pretty good guy in general, and his intentions are good.
I would also like to see more cars brought back from the dead than restoring cars that were pretty decent to start with.
Other than that, overall it's a great show..........

The last show I watched had a long period of how to put tail lights and trunk trim on a 68-9 GTX , "do they think people are really that dumb as needing guidance on how to do it !?"

I have loved the show and hated it. I dislike current tv programming in general. I am way too old, cranky & redneck to tolerate most of it. The fake drama on the show makes me just tune out.

Moparone does have a great point. It is not often that we get to see old Mopars in prime time. Makes me think I should be more supportive, as if it gets cancelled we will have nothing.

As stated above, they have pretty much beat the 67-71 B & E bodies to death. Maybe they should move on to some different stuff. Chrysler had a lot of really odd & cool cars in the 50s & 60s. Not everything has to be a six figure resto to make an interesting tv show.

Maybe even mod some newer stuff. I have seen some pretty cool newer challengers turned into cudas. Let’s face it, the people who appreciate the 60s & 70s Mopars are dying off (most of us) & the show probably needs a hook to draw in more younger folks.

I don’t disagree. Problem is finding people that actually want to pay to have those cars restored. Even on the cheap end, most body shops to restore a car 100 percent or close to it original, is gonna set you back 30-35 grand MINIMUM. “Most” A or C bodies or even the full frame cars of the 50s aren’t going to be worth it unless it’s some rare, 1 of less than 20 made. Even then, rare doesn’t equate to value. So most people aren’t going to want to take a 50 percent loss to pay to restore those rides that may need up being worth 15-20 grand in most cases

Yeah, I have heard most of the cars that go through graveyard are more in the $100-200K range. But if it is a money-making tv show don’t they have some room for some loss to make TV revenue? Don’t really understand the financial side of this....

They don’t own those cars. It’s a restoration shop attached to a full on body shop. They specialize in restoring Mopars for customers. So what is on the show is 99 percent customer owned. I think there were maybe 2 of all of those that were owned by Mark. Plus customers pay a huge premium if they want to be a featured car. 30k on top of parts and labor.

Yeah, understand all the car business part, just wonder if there is enough tv money to subsidize projects that might be more interesting to viewers, but not money makers for the shop. Seems like the TV part should make more money than the garage.

The most popular models they are already doing.

I believe the latest to appear on regular tv is a 64 sport fury Vert maybe 383 4 speed car. Mark has his bud Tony D. from back East helping as he admits he does not know everything ( really?) about early B's. ha
There as a long discuss about GYC over on FBBO. I agree with 99% there, Mark could drop is comedy routine, and drama, and show more some worthwhile how to. At least it is Mopar stuff!
It is all Hollywood and pay TV, just entertainment, like watching the dog and pony show BJ suctions! I just relate to real people and those that don't or won't throw $100,000 at an old car, period. Guess I am just not a fancy type.

honestly, i don't know why all the hate here for Graveyard Carz? i've watched the show from the very first show and yes, the first couple of seasons were awful with all the drama and personal antics. however, GYC has brought more attention to mopar muscle cars than any other media or movie presentation i know of and i've been a mopar fan for 50 years! sure, a lot of stuff on GYC has little value but a lot of the show does have value - like information about some of the vendors worman gets parts from and some of the repair/restoration details they present. i would much rather see an "average" TV show about mopar muscle cars and their restoration than NO SHOW AT ALL!! it's television folks!! there has to be some kind of goofy behavior and "make believe drama" - ALL TV shows are like that! i watch all the car shows on TV and every one of them has some kind of "crisis" or the car has to be done in 3 days or the world will end or other silly things. i like watching GYC just to see THE CARS!! i love looking at the different old mopars that i remember well from my high school days. to all the GYC haters out there, why not just try to look at the beautiful mopars and enjoy seeing the biggest collection of mopar muscle that has ever been in one place at one time and just leave it at that?

Very well said.
Like I posted previously, some people have to complain and criticise everything...........

^^^^^ Not all the TV cars shows are full of stupid drama and idiot comedy. IMHO
How many of them without "the drama" have lasted? You need to realize that a gnat has a longer attention span than the typical TV watcher! I'm not a huge fan of the fake "crises" and "deadlines" either, but it is just a symptom of the world we live in today.

Bitchin Rides does not seem to have all the fake drama...just some actually funny spots and some bad *** fabrication going on. I watch GYC and will continue to watch because its Mopars being worked. I watch Bitchin Rides also, I dont always like the things they do to the cars but I will say those guys are true craftsman when it comes to the fabrication they do, and it's pretty drama free. Since GYC is doing oem restorations it's harder to keep up content on that. Once you rebuild or replace a certain thing on an oem car it's pretty much the same for every other car on the show. Bitchin Rides are doing something custom, and different to every car so the content of working on the cars is always changing....who would watch Mark and Cousin Dougy rebuild the front suspension on a b or e body for 90th time? It would be boring and old so I think they try to drum up some fake b.s. to keep up the content...

They'd pull GYC off the air if Mark just stood there and explained what they were working on while they built the cars. The network is obviously egging him on to act the way he does and they edit the show accordingly. I'm sure he's a goofy dude but they make it seem like he's just running around crazy and annoying his employees all the time and that's just not the case.

If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the network for not really caring what you want because they know car guys are going to watch car shows. They're trying to pull in the "reality tv" crowd which pays more attention to all this goofy crap you see in these shows that's a waste of time to us car guys.
