Memike, it will be good to see Victoria back on the road again. We have all seen the work you have put into her, along with being a loving caring brother. Get her on the road again as soon as possible & take her for the ride she needs.
Well said DR.

Was considering this myself, made some reverse cast molds off a junk rusted GTS bulge hood, can duplicate the Bulges in Fiber Glass that will accept the factory chrome inserts too.

Have not tried them on an actual hood yet, but always thought it would be a great custom look. Like your steel original hood bulges, would be interested in how you came up with a doner hood to make it happen.

I always enjoy the creativity involved in doing something like this.

Nice Job . . .

You can get a doner, hoods won't interchange. You can find guys that have cut the bulges out of Dart hoods as I did. My problem was the guy I bought my bulges from instead of squaring corners to cut them , hack them out , so I had nothing to square from had to find the straightest edge I could and that was the insert hole edge. A lot of placing and looking. Always scary when first starting out. The black line in the picture is a half inch offset . I flanged the inside so the bulge would set flush. Thank for looking.

New CRT 727 (727-4 ProStreet Reverse Manual Shift) for the Duster, repair rotted spare tire well and start some bodywork. Also gotta make a few changes to pass tech inspection. Really hoping to bolt on some slicks and hit RT66 Dragstrip in Joliet before the end of the season.

Really nice job, like the looks of that, got access on the inside to get the Chrome Insets on.

Cutting the holes you have to cut through the hood supports on inside of hood. You mark where insert studs go then drill access holes if need be then weld supports back in.

thank you for these very kind words, and I will I promise.
I can't wait either, I gave the hole summer to my brother and glad I could, he is resting now and not suffering.
Victoria will be on the streets and the track this year

Hopefully this will be the year I get Old Yeller (my sweptline) back on the road.
No budget right now, but who knows............ I still have the 4 inch crank, pistons, rods and a Racer Brown solid roller. I have a few options for heads. I really need to save for a good converter, and my wife has my reverse valvebody in her car, so I need one of those too.

I better stop now, before I talk myself out of it.

Get Busy!
:poke:

Me I have list a mile long, too many projects.

Need to get the pos 70 cuda off my car trailer, only a few more parts to strip off then I can let it rust in peace up my farm.

Put a vynal top on my duster, clean it good, maybe throw some 4.30 gears in it and actually drive it.

Get all the sheetmetal work done on my drag car, and get it running down the road. It needs about everything but the roof and lower firewall.

If there is any time left, paint the engine compartment in my Challenger and drop the supercharged 340 4-speed in it, I have all the parts.

The thing called a job gets in the way.

My dart sport swapped out 280 mopar cam for a 292 mopar cam. New valve seals, new crane springs, new timing chain different intake. Also changed rear gears from 3.55s to 3.91's. Did all that before Christmas came around. Then slowed down. Now the New Year came car still not running!:BangHead: Just putting it off. Not much left but some wires to hook back up, radiator juat simple easy stuff.

Oh the nerve wracking part is the break in. Hoping she fires off quickly to properly seat cam. I remember when I 1st fired this 360 back when my pops and I rebuilt it. We had no idea about timing it for 280 cam. My dad just set timing for type rebuid. Engine never fired just spun no sign of wating to start. After so many tries finally asked a good friend of ours and told us timing needed to be much more with cam we used. And sure enough she came to life!! I don't know how we didn't flatten a lobe after trying to start. Good old days.

Get a time slip form sears point that gets me kicked out for no parachute!!

Then add the chute......

:rofl::steering::usflag:

I should be able to test those breaks soon and send that break part...

Actually Looking for a new project, because 3 Darts evidently isn't enough. A Duster would be my first preference. Going to build a full tilt boogie 408 street thumper. :)

Wallace says if i can get the car down to 2,500 lbs i need 680 HP to do 150 MPH.

The 680 part is close to my estimate but getting the car down to 2,500 lbs is gonna be tough....

Looks like i will be cutting bolts and dumping weight.

Just not sure theres another 300lbs to cut out.....

Get started on body work and pick a color.

Picking the color will prolly take more time than actually painting it.

Easy there rookie...
Remember don't run down there and try and bang a sheep, walk down and bang them all... LOL...
Take an easy pass the first couple times..
Don't try and kill it first time out... Unless you had that car up to a hundred and fifty and tried to hit the brakes I would start out a little slower at first..

I hear you I'm thinking of paint in the next couple years and thinking about what color is got to be the hardest part..
It was simple the first time but I've already done a dusrer that color (sassy grass green) and now I want something different...

It's funny you say that because when I was younger I wanted to paint everything sassy grass or sublime and high impact but now it's almost like I outgrew the phase and I'm looking at more mature colors like crimson burgundy, silver, or even some deep bronze browns.
