Horn button on Challenger

I have a 1972 Challenger that I want to work on ignition switch. I have the Service Manuals and watched videos on disassembly, but they don't show getting the horn button off for access to shaft & nut. There are no screws or clips that I can find to get button off. I saw one video that guy just pulled it off, but I couldn't see enough detail to see if same as mine. I have pulled up but won't come without prying. I don't want to damage it.
Can someone tell me how to safely get button off. I've got enough info after that.

It just pulls off. It's a circular spring clip type deal on the back, so grab both edges and pull straight back.

This is a Tuff wheel, but the horn switch and button are the same as what you have on that 2-spoke E-body wheel. The little spring tabs clip into the ring on the horn switch.

No problem!

I totally understand, you don’t want to just yank on the thing and break it. If it hasn’t been off of there in a really long time there is still a chance the glue holding the clip to the horn button will give up before the spring clip does. But there isn’t much you can do about that, and you can always epoxy it back on if you have to.

years ago, early 70''s , I had a tough time finding a good horn button for an e-body cuda rim blow wheel. They had a fish in the middle and 3 Allen head "bolts". The problem was that the Allens were fake, but looked realistic enough that guys would put an Allen wrench in them and strip them out, because they were just molded rubber.

I remember seeing them all the time with them allen heads busted off.
