Anyone ever used a chiropractor before? My back has flared up again over the last week. Thinking of trying that

Still down with this bug here. I stayed in bed late with crappy sleep. My daughter stayed home from school and needed an albuterol breathing treatment to stay ahead of it.

We are staying holed up trying to get over it and not share the joy with others. Work tried to get me to come in today and I told them if I did, I was going to give them all big sloppy kisses and lick their phones.

They then agreed that it was best that I work from home until I am over it.

Dumbasses.

How weird you say this now because I almost started a thread about this very topic.

My physical therapist is starting to do more pic chiropractic treatment on me and the stuff works but kinda scary to let someone have control of your body so they can twist and bend you and pop every bone you have.

I used one years ago after I herniated a disk in my back...took 6 weeks in a brace before he started to do his "real" chiropractic work....but when he did it was amazing!! I have often thought of going back...

Chiropractic medicine can be a great benefit. Between me, my wife, my daughter, my mother and grandfather we have have been doing it for decades in my family. It saved my grandfather from back surgery 60+ years ago.

My Chiropractor in Cincinnati was the team chiropractic doctor for the Cincinnati Bengals and also on on the board of Osteopathy at Jewish Hospital. His care not only helped the team stay in top shape, he also helped thousands of patients live better lives through his care.

A good chiropractor is a definite benefit to total health care and quality of life.

True. But if you don’t sleep for long enough you get so screwed up you might prefer the nightmares
What happens if you get nightmares while your awake?
Are they nightmares or are they real?

So now for something completely different, as some on here know I have played Ice Hockey most of my life, starting in Canada. Besides league play a bunch of us guys made up a travel tournament team. We have always been sponsored by a micro brewery. But then they made pot legal and our Captain got a new plan. You can’t make this up. Here is my jersey. Had to send a pix to my Canadien brethren so we can meet at a upcoming NHL game! Hah!

Yes, try a chiropractor... They are painless and you will feel better afterwards...

I was rear-ended by over 90 MPH by a drunk 18 year old back in 1988 and had to see a chiropractor for a while and it helped alot... Got my spine back in alignment...

Find a good one, not just the first one that pops up in a search... The first one that I went to specialized in football and sports injuries... He even had a patent on redesigning the shoes for football to remove the spikes and have 7 "ribs" instead... He said that the spikes planted the feet to solidly and that led to too much twisting of knees etc... His cleat design only had like 4 of them active at one time and would let the feet slide out from under you so you didn't twist/torque your knees... I still see that design in today's shoes...

He also had a couple patents to improve helmets to reduce the shock on the neck/spine when football players collided, but unfortunately couldn't get any helmet companies to buy into it... If they would have, it would have opened them up to lawsuits implying that their old designs were dangerous... Sad that the liability prevented that from being available, it could have prevented alot of injuries...

But anyhow, research a good chiropractor near you and go get an adjustment and you will feel much better...
