Has anyone tried using one of these dojobbers?

12-54 CHRYSLER SLANT 6 4 BBL HOLLEY CARBURETTOR REDLINE INLET MANIFOLD | eBay

I never seen that, Looks like a stock intake with a four barrel flange on it. 369.00 plus 60.00 shipping, better place to spend that money would be the cylinder head and dizzy or rear gears.

Is that for the slant or the Hemi 6?

I would guess one of our OZ brothers have run them.
Maybe someone will chime in and tell us how they like it.
And you can find a used Offy for around $200. A Clifford used for $300.
Weiand versions are much harder to find!

No I don't have a bench or know anyone who has done what you are asking.
One problem is having all those manifolds to do the testing.
Every time I get a Clifford, someone buys it from me!
I know the race slanters swear by the Clifford and they have back to back tested them.

Why didn't they curve the outer 1 and 6 runners? I think they could have and still had header clearance to spare.

Perhaps he did already and is now up to the intake portion of modifications on his mill!

A few years ago there was a Hot Rod Magazine article using a freshly built 225. I'm pretty sure Magnante was involved. On a dyno they went from 1 bbl, to 2 bbl, to headers, to 4 barrel, to Aussie short runner, and then right about when they were going to Aussie long runner (hyper-pack), they had engine problems and stopped the testing. I think it was an aluminum block. What I do remember was the biggest jump in power was simply going from a 1 barrel to a 2 barrel. Someone could probably find a link cause it was discussed here.

Have the the article, think they blew a head gasket or there was a lower end issue.

Holley 1920 is only 153 cfm iirr

Carters were 290 to 400's cfm , ranging from 225-383cid iirr

I've used Redline Manifolds on 225 slant sixes and 265 Hemi sixes. Their products are great. You might also want to check out AussieSpeed as well if you are in the market for manifolds...

That intake is for the Slant-6, and for the money I'd buy the Offenhauser item instead—assuming I needed a 4-barrel carb on my Slant-6, which I probably wouldn't.
$414. bucks …...gosh damn, those REALLY got pricey.

I must be getting old because I remember when those were considerably less.
I used a Weiand 4 barrel intake and made an adapter plate to put a 318 2 barrel carb on it, I mounted the carb parallel to the motor. I got that plan from my Direct Connection bible.
