Good stuff, as usual:
Nothing that drag racers haven`t been doing for 60 yrs . , where have u guys been ?!Subscribed a few months ago and really enjoy his channel.
That's why I love watching him, so much to give this generation on computer freaks. I thought I knew alot about what he does......BOY was I misguided! He blows me away with his knowledge.Back when I was a young man, there was a local old man(he'd be about 120 by now) who was known as the slant 6 master, he'd do all his own machine work, make his own manifolds, go to the local dragstrip in his 63 valiant and consistently out run V8s, I wish he were around today to pass on some of his knowledge( I'm sure he was modifying V8 windage trays for slantys)
So many things are about to become lost to history, in both automotive, and the trades, I find it admirable that someone is trying to pass on those simple tricks to the younger generation that only knows EFI and computer chips and couldn't properly tune a carb or set the dwell on a set of points to save their lives
I heard that he is on here as White Punk on Nitro, any proof to that rumor?
A lot of us who have been doing this for decades and have built all these engines sometimes 100 over... dont have someone to hold the camera while we tutorial or give a history lesson. These "tricks" have become passay...but as time goes on..its reborn and new again to all the people who are just starting. Guru, master, old school hot rod hero.... thats a lot us on here. We just dont have a youtube and camera man or woman. Its kind of a pain in the ***... to make myself stop and take a picture , video while porting, building...
The more amazing thing is that people don't realize the oil sloshes all to the back. I just got done saying this in another thread and all the sudden...It's brand new in this thread.
How the simplest things aren't considered.
My 1st engine i ever built was 225..and i made and welded baffles and even a crank scraper. Still have the scraper.
I keep telling myself im gonna start a channel.
