What ship? I've been to Miramar for a Safety School.

The old CV-42 Franklin D Roosevelt. But, yeah, luckily spent most of my time at Miramar.

Top Gun, I liked it there as short of a time as I was there. I hear the luckily part.... I was mostly on Nimitz, both when she was on the East coast and then, 10 years later on her 20th birthday, a Westpac.

24 years, several cruises on carriers and an LHA. Saw the world, missed some Christmas'. It's a sacrifice, thanks for your service!!!

Certainly see more of the world, ...and a wider variety of people!! Experiences I definitely would never have had otherwise.

The deck of a carrier is pretty much the ultimate drag strip!! :D .....And thank you for your service as well!!!

USAF, 1997-1990,. Medical separation. 811x0 first 4 years then 722x0 the rest. First station was Cannon AFB '77-80; RAF Upper Heyford, UK 80-83; Little Rock AFB '83 until separated.

Hello fellow wing nut!!!
Security Forces guy, I see. I'm not familiar with 722. Is that something in Admin?

I was stationed at RAF Greenham Common in missile radio and radio relay maintenance (304X4). Also stationed in Jacksonville Arkansas as an Officer Recruiter (8R000). I didn't go in until '84.

USN Boiler tech USS Fairfax County LST-1193. Amphibious tank landing ship. Looking at water was not what I considered fun but taught me discipline and punctuality!
