Correct Super Stock Seats?

I am building a 1968 Dodge Dart Super Stock clone. I have stumbled across these, and was wondering if these are correct for my build. I was told that they are from a late 60's
early 70's A100 van.

Can someone please verify this?

If its period correct, I believe they WERE date A100 van seats.
 
I have a friend with an A100 and they sure look like them.
 
Ed (805MoparKid) will know. He builds S/S cars for a living. PM him if he doesn't chime in.
 
That's not the right upholstery but the seats are the same. There were horizontal seams about an inch apart on the seat and the seat back in the '70 van I drove around delivering copy machines and supplies lo these many years ago when I was in school...

Yeah the factory seats are exactly like the one in the pic I posted of the factory 1968 hemi darts front seats those are the original seats in Mr Norms car
 
So yes the seats I.posted are correct? I realize I will have to.buy the proper covers
 
Here is a pretty good photo of a original set before being restored.
They have 2" pleats and no welt cords.
Notice the gap between the lower back and cushion.
Super Stock seats also folded. A100s didn't from what I have found.
Lots of guys using the seats you have found as obtainable replacements.
They are a little taller and don't have the gap or hinge. They are also a little newer.

I have a set of these im using in my 69 Dart build, anyone know where i can get the covers and i might need the foam too....
 
Legendary has the covers. May have the foam also????
I haven't Installed any or had a chance to look at them up close to
give them a review.
 
I just started on a customer supplied set of frames that look the same as
the OP's.
Sandblasted the frames and will be reusing the original foam on this set.
They do not fold and have no gap at the lower back. I believe these are 1970 up
to 1975? These year seats have pipe frames and removable foam.
I am sewing up my own covers for these since I am unfamiliar
with which year frames legendary makes their covers for.

Here is a comparison picture of the older A100 seats to the newer.
They are closer to a SS seat with the height & lower backrest gap but
still not the same as they can not fold. These have a steel folded 16 ga.
steel frame. Are from around 1966 to 69.
Also on these older models the foam is injected around the frame and
not as easily removed.

This is a set of little red express or warlock seats that I have made to fold.
They are lighter than the SS seat frames.
I had to remove about a 2" section from them to get them the correct width.
I also removed about the same amount from the height.
They are now the correct size and I have modefied them to fold by cutting
and building the hinge pin arrangement shown.
I replace all the springs in all the frames with a heavier wire springs
and add extras as they are all very weak as far as car seats go.
This is my best attempt at having a seat that is impossible to find or very
expensive when or if you do find them.
When upholstery is on should be a very good copy that few could detect
from originals. Good enough for my cars anyway and better than what I have found on
the current market.
16 or 14 ga. steel frame 1969 A100 compared to the modified 78-79 express seat
which is built out of a lighter 20 ga sheet metal.

For what it's worth-------- I've done 3 S/S clones and I didn't use those frames on any of them. IIRC, the base is too wide & the backs taper too much to hold the Legendary Ints. foam properly. Those are from a later van.
 
We had a Chrysler equipped Drivers Ed simulator and the seats were pretty close to these. Our high school was built 1901 so we had some antique stuff in there. I remember something like these...but I dont remember seeing any manual trans options. If you didnt brake and hold when the film showed a truck backing out into your lane when a car was next to you, the instructor knew it from his panel. "Uh, driver #6, you just died and took out a another car in the process...Lets rewind and try it again.

The original seats do not fold forward, there fixed upright.
 
Did the original SS seats have 2 vertical springs on the back or 3?
Mine have 2 on the back and 3 on the bottom.

In the Legendary Interior catalog there is a nice break down on how to tell the differences in all the seats. I believe you can see it on there website but good luck finding it.
