VIRUS HITTING CLOSE TO HOME

-
LMAO, I'll believe what is happening in MY world. SOE, for our Province so I think I'll go with that, ok? Media
Retarded/idiotic?? I'm doing what has been suggested by medical experts. Not by some internet covidiot.
Deaths/health is one thing, the financial ruin tsunami is another.
Oh make sure you hand over any sanitizer, gloves, masks and **** tickets to someone that needs them. Obviously you're superman!
LOL. Believing the media is idiotic. Bad data is bad data. Believing bad data is retarded.

In a month or so we will see what this was all about.

It the FLU.

We are in the infancy of this pandemic. It is going to get worse, much worse, before it gets better. Almost all of the projects that I oversee went to online only meetings a couple of weeks ago. My family is hunkered down and limiting trips to necessity only. My job is to protect my family and that is what I am doing. I have saved up enough money while the economy was rolling and I was working a ton of OT that I have roughly 1 years worth of bills covered pretty easily. It's the time that all of that effort and sacrifice will payoff in keeping my family safe.

I have read a few articles. Some written by Doctors. Some by CDC, WHO, etc.

The common thing I find among all of them, is not one of them say "it's just the flu." Not one! Huh, imagine that.

It's actually quite the opposite.

I hope you naysayers are staying home like everyone else.......I'm sure you are. Nobody is invincible to this. Nobody, not even the tough guys.

The only thing selling faster than TP is Kool- aid

Counting confirmed C19 deaths against hypothetical un-tested positives before any of those die?

You think that is sound logic?

Really?

There was a local panel special with politicians and a doctor.

All the politicians agreed that the status quo was fine.

The doctor said-

"All countries that have shown success have one thing in common- they have imposed mandatory isolation for all, we need to do this NOW."

The closest major metro area to me is Tampa/Hillsborough county.

They went from dark blue to orange on the FDOH map over night.
(and orange to red just today)
If I were closer, I'd already be in voluntary isolation.

When I posted the FDOH map link there were 1200 confirmed cases in FL.

Yesterday there were 1600.

This morning there are 1977.

Hold on, update at 11:00....

2355 confirmed and 28 deaths.

Well under the 5% mortality theoretical max.

Show ain't over yet.

Some of you guy's need to chill. LOL
I am doing what I always do to avoid sickness, stay clean and stay away from you sick f...s.
See, I didn't need you to tell me to. LOL
PS, and you folks stay in your own state away from me this summer,

On a lighter note....

What's your TP footprint?

I'm averaging 4 wipes at 3 squares per wipe.

Assuming 2 "episodes" per day...

At that rate a 250 square roll should last me 10 days.

17 rolls left.

We will revisit this in 6 months.
Be prepared for major inflation, including overpriced butt wipe.

This thing started in Houston about Mar 1. First 15 cases appear. Few days later it is 30, then 60, then...14 had just returned from group trip to Egipt. They shut down the Houston rodeo/stock show about Mar 5 ( 1/2 million had already attended!) and closed schools right after. Houston has been under stay at home order for all this week, they did same for our rural county that is fairly close to the city today.. First conformed case in our county last Mon. That lady said, in the last 10 days she had been ALL over the county. Everywhere!!
We were scheduled to make a trip to New Orleans on Mar 13 to attend the Mopar show there and trade cars with a guy from Ms. No virus in La. on that date. Then I thought of the Maude Gras (OK I can't spell French either) that had not that long ago ended at New Orleans. People go there from all over, so we cancelled. I thought of meeting out in the west side of La but declined that notion too. On that Mar 13, there were maybe 50 cases in Houston and none in La! BUT now La has plenty!!!!
People must take this whole thing seriously and isolate themselves, even out in the rural areas. People need to just stay home for a few weeks and see how it is going.

Glad I'm not near Miami.

Miami spans 2 counties.

616 cases in Dade
504 in Broward
Next to them is Palm Beach with 169

I texted a buddy to see how he was doing...still working at St Mary's Cement deemed essential. "Chatted" a bit then told me a friend of a friend who's dad just died from it. The Dad that died.his daughter is a friend and she works at a Nursing home. She(2 kids and husband with emphysema bad)and another friend are in mamdatory isolation.Hitting close to home here. Wished my buddy well...and to stay the **** away from me!
Noticed no telemarketers or Jehovah witness around lately.

I'm in South Fl. two Doctors recently died at local Hospitals. If the D.R.'s cant save themselves, what does that tell you?

Yikes.

What does the voluntary isolation situation look like down there?

Just heard on the radio Tampa has a "safer at home" order going into effect IIRC at midnight Friday.

Wonder what that is exactly.

Around here it means stay at home!! Only thing open to public are essentials, grocery, feed stores pharmacy, auto parts store, maybe bldg. supply? and of course, liquor stores!!

Even though we stocked up, I've come to the conclusion that if we have to actually stay in for 2-3 weeks, we don't have nearly enough liquor.

Just saw the "orders" from Pinellas and Hillsborough.

They are basically unenforceable.

They did specifically mention hair and nail salon employees should not engage in business.

... and spread it to people who won't be as lucky, because they were 'just FINE.'
not for another 3 weeks because they are locked inside

you guys realize we are not immortal dont you?

regardless of what the true cause is, the death rate of life is still 100%

people need to quit being such fear mongerers and get on with life

except that, in 98% of the cases, they will have the sniffles for a few days and be fine, just FINE
Well, only 85% of the cases show mild symptoms and don’t get tested...but they are still spreading it to others and about 4% of those that they share with will die.

Do you want to be responsible for casually killing another person because you didn’t isolate? I don’t...and won’t. Look your victim in the eye and tell them that they are just one of the unlucky ones, sorry.

Dumbass.

7.5 billion people worldwide, .005 infection rate.
Stay safe don't let the numbers increase

And you need to get a grip. We have to work together to save each other from a virus that just doesn’t care about anything but surviving and replicating.

We can care, and work together to defeat it. Wake up.
