Kahr .40, Ruger .357's a pair. The little KLCR hurts to shoot. The Security Six 4" I've had since the early '70s. It has had thousands of rounds, mostly .38s, cycled through it. I used to do a LOT of reloading.

I've never cared for them. Colt should have figured out how to "safe" them with the hammer down, like a DA. I intensely dislike the idea that they are "safe" cocked and locked. What happens if the safety gets disengaged?

I also have a Browning BDM which "switches" from SA to DA. The hammer pull is not great. One of the great things about it is that the grip, even though it's "double stack", is inlaid into the frame and is not very thick.... Over the years I've had a number of others including several .44 Super Blackhawks, a Ruger Blackhawk .357/ 9mm "Convertible", and a 1911, along with a Hi-Power. That damn thing threw brass everywhere. If you wanted to reload, you better carry a large tarp, because you'd never find it all LOL And I've had some .380s, two were non-memorable, LOL, and one was the "baby" Colt DA only I forget, mustang? Pony?

Somewhere I have a Charter 5 shot 38 which is likely no longer safe to shoot. Timing is ????on it I would not trust it

Jeez, where the hell do you live that you feel the need to be that heavily armed?

I live in a major metropolitan area and next door to one of the 3rd most depressed area in the Nation and I have no fear of leaving the house without a carry.

Paranoia is the destroyer.

got the Taurus on me right now
I go back and forth between that one and the shield

when I forsee wearing gloves, I grab the Ruger

You gonna tell everybody where u hide them too ?

Damn you going to shoot the virus..:) .. I've had a carry permit since the 70s but haven't felt the need to until the last few years. That's a lot of protection, you going out to shop for toilet paper..

Not a recent thing because of the craziness, but if I leave my house for anything other than work....my Ruger LCP is in my pocket. I'd carry it during work also, but it's against company rules.

Fear has nothing to do with it. Don't bring your liberal policies to me.

Paranoia isn't the destroyer, criminals are.

Obviously you've been lucky throughout your life as most of us have.

.........and by the way if there is any more questions about paranoia or the goodness of our fellow "humans" just review the film footage of Katrina. The freefall of civilization in that mess is epic, and a top example of what to expect in some crisis

I cannot imagine living without being able to return fire.

It's definitely a war zone that's for sure. Can't go anywhere without having to blast a few things! I mean just the other day I had to pop off a few rounds to just make sure nobody was following me.

LOL ok I concede

I wish you were right. I'd give up my guns in a second if they were not necessary.

Heavily armed? I doubt very highly that he carries all of them at one time. Daddy was a gun trader, and his theory was, you can't have too many. Plus a good investment. Better than money in the bank. I don't see being armed as being "paranoid". I see it as being prepared.

Believe me, I am armed. I just don’t feel the need to carry most of the time. I have worked and lived in some pretty dicey places but only felt the need to carry a few times.

I just don’t see the vast majority of the World as a place I need to be armed in.

i agree, only a few times did i feel the need to be armed
none of those times did i have an intergalactic pause button i could push to pause the situation, run home, grab a gun from the safe, put in a magazine, rack the slide to load on into the pipe and return to the scene.

luckily all those times, i had woken up that morning and decided to carry...just in case

Some of us subscribe to the theory, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

And some of subscribe to the theory that having it doesn’t mean you need to take it with you everywhere you go. A reasonable assessment of risk is why the military doesn’t carry nuclear weapons on every campaign...even though they could.

That is a very poor example, and many crimes that occur, some of which are stopped by alert folks, cannot possibly be predicted by the type of neighborhood or time of day.

no, its a perfect example, but poorly applied

you see, in the situation where they dont forsee needing nukes they go in carrying what?
small arms

just like us

but what happens when we expect trouble?

thats when we change out the 9MM for the 7.62x39 or the 12 gauge
