My head's have been at my local machine shop for 7 weeks.. when I dropped them off he said I give a call next week when I get them apart..

it's actually kind of working out for me as well as I don't have the cash. I mean if I have to get them out I can it's not the end of the world but I like to do it as I go along. One good thing is the machine shop is taking a long time because they're so busy because everybody wants them to do their stuff cuz they're that good... I don't mind waiting an extra 15 minutes for my cheeseburger at a restaurant as long as when I get it it's great.. same analogy for them...

Test port done. Now I just got to duplicate this 8 more times on the actual heads.
I have a slant head and a pair of a friend's small block Chevy heads at the shop. Been there since before the first of the year.
That's just not right !
Man! I gotta learn how to do this stuff!

I don’t see any cell towers in that picture.
A week ago I was in the canyon off to the left.........Zero degrees those two mornings.That looks cold and quiet....Brrr!
30 degrees yesterday morning in the saddle @ 7,300' elevation.
Closest spring for water is 1 hour 15 minutes down on the right and 1 hour 30 minutes back to the tent. Good view of the antelope, deer and elk up here though.

No wife, not even a dog. However when I'm alone like this my son tracks his 72 year old dad on GPS. I even have a "DEAR GOD HELP" button should I need it.
Nice. Did you relieve the cast iron behind the guide so it doesn't deflect toward the camera?

Hiked the 5 hours out yesterday. It is supposed to snow today and I'm not a fan of being in that little tent in a snow storm. Weather clears I'll be in another spot.
This was exploring an area I'd never quite been to. I generally go farther up through the left and skip through here.

Not on this head as its just for testing purposes. You can see the how the the guide being slightly cocked has influenced the de-shrouding cut of the valve job as it didn't quite fully clean up on the long side. On the actual heads I run a cartridge roll down the that side of the inside of the valve guide hole to help relieve the uneven pressure on the guide.
What heads are these?
