BluePrint Engines 392 Hemi Interest? Thoughts? Comments?

Ok...subscribed

I'm on the fence about my 68 Notch-Back. ..
I've been planning a 318/390 stroker for a long time....but I love the idea of a modern drive train!
Man....VERY tough decision! !!!
I've bought a Blueprint engine before and I know the quality and service is awesome. ...
Wish there was a way to make the gen 3 look more old school....
I'm less than a year from pulling the trigger on one or the other. .....

Jeff
We can do EFI on the current roller 408. something to keep in mind. unless you've already stockpiled parts for the 390

I have a completely virgin 318 from 68 in my garage and I'm huge on 318s.....even if it's stroked!
It WILL either be the stroker or a gen 3.....
This goes back and forth in my head every few weeks.....
I love driving my 'Cuda.....so the Gen 3 kinda sounds more appealing. ....

Did some searching. ...found this picture of a 68 Cuda with a Gen 3 Hemi. ....

Wow....I could live with that! !!

6.1 gen 3 into a 72/Demon is the title of a build thread I started on all the trials and tribulations of EFI merging with old car. Is it a total PITA? You bet, will I do it again? Most certainly! It is a hoot! Thanks Johnny for all you and Blueprint do for Mopar.

Just want to thank you guys for the support on this project. Hit some Delays with COVID19...but really pushing to try to get it back on track.

I'll do everything I can to get these out, even if I have to buy the first one.

Kinda doubt you’d need to buy the 1st one what’s the time line look like these days. Everything is slipping.

Was a June projection before Covid 19. I'm really hoping to have Prototypes running by AUG

I would be interested as well. A 100% turn key option is where it is at as i did a 5.7 Hemi swap in a 70 Dart and found that what held me back was all the "little things" that I either did not know about, did not have, overlooked, or just could not afford at that time. I tend to be a finance the build kinda guy, so once the car is done being paid for, i would definitely jump on financing a complete package.
Would you offer a shop/commercial or a police/military discount?

We do have a military discount. reseller accounts are usually pretty high volume, but we can look.
thanks for the interest for sure!

Any updates on turn key 392 availability? I have a 67 Dart getting started mid January. Currently 360 mopar crate motor and refreshed 727 will be going in with gear vendors overdrive unit. Control freak front and rear wont be done until mid February, so i have about a month to decide engine and transmission options. I am looking at power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning pulley systems and fuel injection. I already have a 440 swapped 64 Dart that is a handful, so this is more of a restomod driver. Any chance 392 is still in the works?

Appreciate your interest in us! It's not permanently shelved, but definitely slow going with covid. I don't believe we would meet your timeline.

@Johnny Mac any updates on the 392’s? I’m not ready for one, just curious.
Grew to a 426! Have a BGE block on the way. Just one of many projects delayed with covid. But it's happening. Just need to get these testers put together.

Mopar called the blocks BGE Big Gas Engine

They are the 6.4 truck and hell-cat blocks.
In short, BluePrint Engines is very close to being a 100% new ONLY engine company. Meaning no cores or reman parts at all. The hemi started design as looking at a 5.7, and stroking to a 392. When we decided that in year from now, we won't even have a teardown area, we had to look at a new block option. It would cost no less to buy a 5.7 new block, vs a hellcat block....so no reason to not build a 426. In the future I see us tooling up and doing a hemi block ourselves, and probably heads. But first run will be 6.2/6.4 block, and apache heads. That's what I have to report as of today. It's pretty exciting. Sorry it's been slow! But it's getting close!

So, what I'm hearing is that the price is going up from probably what you guys were originally thinking. Got it! :D

Not really. Still shouldn't be much more than our LS 427 engines. Those are all 100% new also. We are at the point where tearing down a core engine to harvest a block is a near wash vs just using all new components. Especially if that seasoned block goes 2 or 3 steps in, and then ends up being unusable.
