440 Demon Almost Ready

-
Congratulations - one beautiful car!! With as much work as you put into it, it must fel really good to be this close to done!
My red 72 Demon wants to look like yours someday too!! Target date is late summer this year to come out of the garage with it's new 408.
I love that you never see Demons around. Pretty rare in Wisconsin. They draw a crowd when you do see one! Good luck with your build! It takes alot of patience

Should be interesting with manual steering and manual brakes for now.

Awesome build!! The manual steering can be a little tough in parking lots with the big block. I got a new front end alignment on mine and can barely turn the wheel when going real slow now, have to figure out what to change back!

Ya. Should be interesting! Manual steering sucks! It is pretty tight as it is..

I have manual steering and manual brakes in my big block '72 Duster and it is actually fairly easy to drive on the street. Keeping the weight down helps, using big brake rotors helps, having the correct master cylinder helps.

Come to Kenosha/Racine area, we have a few here. Kenosha area Mopars group on Facebook.

Manual steering and manual disc brakes on my 74 Duster iron head 413 drives just as good as when it had a small block.

Hopefully there will be some shows this year! The year I finally get my car on the road and everything will be cancelled! I am sure it will be fine with manual steering. I have aluminum heads. That lightened it up some.

Nice to have the day off yesterday to get more done! Plugs, wires, clutch slave mount, and fuel lines!

Looks like you are using one of my alternator kits. Looks like a race kit so you must have bought it a while back.

Very nice Demon. Filling up those rear quarters with fatties really creates a killer look. Not so many Demons, makes it special.
I have a mothballed Demon project. I thought it would be very cool to make the tail lights sequential.

The Pro Parts wouldn't allow those valve covers to fit, I am having a hard time finding fabricated looking covers that fit.

The valve covers are really nice also from 440 source. No clearance issues with the headers. Not sure about the Pro Parts headers though.

I have the Mopar Performance covers now and the Pro Parts headers almost touch them, the fabricated ones dont have the 'mounting lip'around the base, so they would interfere. Been looking for a set like yours that fit for a while.

I had billet valve covers built for my Duster. The billet covers solved a bunch of problems for me but they were expensive

.

Ones of that style would work. The ones with the straight sides are the ones that don't, but it's all I can really find. My cylinder 1 primary tube gets extremely close to the cover.
