Making progress on my Demon

-
I `ve got 2'' tti`s on my 440/505 in a 68 fastback, everything clears , but is tite as h--- , no bent tubes , aftermarket k-frame w/ rack n pinion , 1/4'' IS ABOUT THE MOST i HAVE SOME PLACES 1/8'' .
You can elongate the holes in the floor plate of ur steering column to get a hair more room on the shaft -------------I`ve read a borgeson steering box is smaller than the mopar box too .
You have a aftermarket K frame?..Does Borgeson make a manual steering box?

Looks awesome! I love that! I love that your keeping the interior original even tho it appears to be a race car.
Thank you...When I bought the car 7 years ago the previous owner butchered the rallye dash frame and used aluminum to cover it and added gauges and a push button start switch in the panel..I looked high and low for a 71 rallye dash frame and found one finally..I stripped it , repainted it and put a new steel reinforced dash pad on it along with new wiring harness , lenses and new bezel..The bezel is flaking where it's painted black at the bottom so I'll be giving Classic Industries a call..Im trying to put the interior back as original as possible with the exception of no rear seat and aluminum covering the rear tubs also covering the trunk area as well...

Here is a pix of my Demon badge, the bright red and yellow just didn’t look good on mine so I took the badge decal to a local graphics guy and he customized to a different color for me. I love your build it is gorgeous. I am stuffing a 6.1 in mine so I totally understand the no room thing!

Looks good.

Yes aftermarket k frame , not the best driving car I`ve ever had tho.
I think they do make a manual box , at least thats the way I took it .
QA1 shocks installed on the front..Sport mirrors installed too.

Finally pulled the header off and dinged it 1/4 inch and re-installed everything..Steering coupler doesn't hit the header now and finally got the column installed.

Beautiful car and I likewise REALLY like that you are making it back to looking mostly stock while giving it plenty of 'go' under the hood. Keep those pics coming!!
