65/66 trunk filler panel interchangeable?

Found a 1 piece trunk filler panel from a 66. Wondering if it will fit my 65 trunk. I read there are some differences with the tail lights/trunks so not sure.

It should fit.

For the record. It does not fit however I will make it fit. Tail lights are a very different shape from 65 to 66. I'm having to reshape the edges of the panel and remove a quarter to half inch in some areas. I will post pics when done.
