What dodge/Chrysler and Plymouth vehicles used 15x7 or 15x6.5 4.5” bolt pattern that work with dog dishes. Other than muscle cars of the era what other common vehicles (trucks vans) used rims that work with dog dish hub caps. Looking for a pair of 15x7’s or 15x6.5 for the front of my duster. I have 15x8’s For the back. Figured if certain Vans trucks or cars used the wheels I can go from there.

Cop cars, 1/2 ton "Lifestyle" (Gen I) trucks, Ramchargers & vans with the 4.5" bolt circle (some of these had 8" rims, too).

the guy I bought my 78 Magnum from, was a parts guy for a dodge dealership. He had put black 15 x 7''s on the magnum. He said the dealership had thrown them in the dumpster, because a Ramcharger buyer had opted for different wheels.

I have the 15x7 cop wheels on swinger. In the process of refurbing a set of the dog dish caps for them. The cop wheels used stainless dog dish with the ventilation holes.
You used to be able to get the cop wheels for next to nothing but they have started to become popular. Only down side to them is that they are MUCH heavier than a standard wheel. These things are built like tanks, presumably because they would see alot of curb rash.

Sorry, not up on truck lingo. What's a "lifestyle" truck?
Like I said, they're the "Gen I" pickups- 1972-93; somewhere during that time they went to the 5" BC, not sure what year exactly, I think it was '85-ish.

Chrysler fifth ave , diplomat fury M body have 15x7 steelies up to 1989 early 80s M body fifth ave diplomat fury 82-84 have 15x6.5 with a 5 on 4.5 BC. Heres the ones my son and I redid for his car. $13 each, I had to sandblast, fill small gouges in with JB weld, and epoxy prime n paint them. But for less than $60 I cant complain.

I have 15x8’s on the back so 15x7 cop wheels with the vent holes won’t match my rears. Got some good info from moparmat2000 which is helpful.

Thanks, I got the "Gen I" reference, but thought maybe there was some subset I wasn't privy to.

RC's , FMJ's , cops , Jeeps , Magnums . 8" are a little harder to find than 7" but not by much . A wheel/tire combo weights almost 40 lbs . FYI

a lot of the station wagons and full size sedans had 15 inch steelies.
And many wagons came with sure grip rear axles too.

No problem! I don't mean to take this thread too far off-topic, but generally the pre-60s trucks were the "Pilothouse" and "Job Rated" series, "Sweptlines" and "Utilines" (stepsides) were built until '71, and "Lifestyle" (so named because of the packages offered- Adventurer, Prospector, Macho, Snowfighter, Warlock, Little Reds, etc.) ran until '93.
Totally useless Mopar trivia: The early Sweptlines were referred to in factory brochures as "Dart" trucks...!

Not useless at all, it's MoPar trivia so thank you very much for the edumication!

Went to the bone yard today and found a newly planted 87 fifth ave. Rear wheels were already gone but I took the front wheels, and the spindles, calipers, sliders, discs(new) etc. Also found a passenger side exh manifold with the large outlet on a 96 JGC with a 5.9.

T'was a good day to scrounge.

Good score. Did you know The aluminum version of the 90° oil filter adaptors are on the M body cars. You shoulda grabbed that and the mounting bolt.

best source for 15x7” wheels there is. My brother and I even call em 5th Ave wheels. And of course, just like you, we pay $12 a piece at the pick and pulls whenever we see em. I have a set of em on my Roadrunner, can’t get 15” wheels cheaper than that!

What years of 5th avenue have the 15x7’s?

@toolmanmike , I know I can buy them new. I have another lead on a 87 M body so I'm looking at getting some parts off of it as long as I can get the wheels for cheap, I'll get those too. 10 or 20 bucks is a lot better to me that 130 each.
