Sandin A/C and compact P/S pump brackets

-
no on the efi, I dropped the entire package out as you see it and it is going back in that way. no pump in the tank. There are pluses....and minus's of the pump in the tank, not even taking into the consideration of unnecessary and additional $$$$ for this build.

Another PIA of the low passenger side is routing the hoses. Remember, the evaporator hose connection from the compressor is on the drivers side.....IMO, it makes sense and is much cleaner to have the compressor not too far away or on the other side of the engine.

Since I have already done several Hemi versions with this location, I already have a good handle on the hoses.
At some point please post some pic's on your A/C hose routing.

I'll take a photo and post my already completed Hemi Duster. Compressor located in the same spot, low on the drivers side ..just no P/S pump....yet.

Here ya go. Pretty much factory except the compact Sundin compressor, HDK compressor mounts, Vintage Air hoses and the newer refrigerant. I think I installed this around 10 years ago.

correct....was a factory A/C car or I would not have gone to the effort. All interior components are factory (1974) vacuum (thru numerous hoses) powers the dampeners and the hot (engine) water shut off thru the factory dash controls, everything except the 12V blower.

A/C is great for the 70 mph interstate runs....and around town when really hot. When puttin' around when cool, A/C off, windows down.

it's a stocker!

thats looks great denny , looks as it a done deal all mapped out , just some brackets to produce . great job .

looks sweet , is that enough pulley n belt coverage to drive that pump without an idler . and HD you said you've made this type setup for your rb hemi ?

likely adding an idler, a must in the stand alone A/C compressor version, but from several already in use, works fine without one. Yes, I have used or supplied this same concept on several RB / Hemi installs.

talk about a weight saver!!!

Will that fit with the factory battery location in an A body?

The brackets were dropped off 5 minutes before I headed home Friday, so I thew them on real quick. A few simple measurements will answer that today. stay tuned. For a look-see quick check, the front of the assembly is behind the front of the K

okay HD what do those bring ?

Don't know yet., the first cut proto types were just dropped off Friday. Although I need to make a few adjustments, I will have them quoted in .250 steel and .250 aluminum.

I personally prefer aluminum.

I look forward to getting a quote and will get back to you as soon as I know.

They will be priced to sell, I'm not a collector.

HD were talking rb a/c brackets right ?

oh.....I got confused.

I have the B/RB /Hemi A/C compressor brackets (in .250 steel) on the shelf. Is that what (pictured above) you are you looking for?
