What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
Well, my day just went to hell.

After letting the car sit about 1/2 hour after washing it, I see
about a 2' x 2' puddle of antifreeze under the radiator. looks like my Champion radiator is leaking, but not sure from where. I'll have to get the electric fan off and clean everything up, get a pressure tester to put on it and see if I can figure out where its leaking from.
Guess it's possible I dinged one of the tubes when I was mounting up my electric fan setup that I just finished. If that's the case I think I'm screwed. I cant imagine how you would fix a leaky tube in an aluminum radiator.

Pretty freaking bummed out right now.
man that sucks

i would fire it up and look for leaks

i got a very slow fuel leak (really more of a seepage issue) around the return fitting on the duster
of course the fitting is in the fuel pick up so before i can get at it, i need to take about 5 gallons of gas out

so, i will be driving it

so, like i said, i got to drive it on monday
we had a little birthday parade for our assistant pastor and since he's got some young kids you know i had to let some smoke out of the tires (like i needed an excuse for that)

on the way back home, i had my boy and one of his buddies in that, so i was making sure i wasnt getting the best mileage, shall we say

from the back seat, his buddy goes, "how fast is this car?"
i said, im not sure, i dont think ive had it over 90

and my boy goes "NA-HU" we've done at least 110

darn kids, always ratting me out

My son bought me heat wrap and plug wire boots for Father's Day. I installed them today.

I put a slit in the heat wrap for the fuel line bracket and wrapped it all the to just past #6 header tube. Since I don't need passenger side boots, I used one on the fuel hose to the carburetor. Not sure I like it...

Oh, and I put up a saucer swing for my wife...er, I mean... grandson!!!

You must buy black paint in bulk, lol.
Just kidding, I enjoy watching your progress.

Lol . .

For this framework stuff I use John Deere Equipment Enamel, Self Priming a special formula for farm machinery. I get a special hardener online for it. Makes it tuff and fast drying, not gummy and slow drying like some enamels.

This is JD blitz black, leaves a nice satin finish for iron work.

Thanks

Sounds like it is durable and will hold up well.

And a few more parts black before I call it quits for the night.
