They are designed to not put too much pressure on the plastic sliders so they will move if column needs to colapse.

Hey ValiantOne,

You still making these? I'm converting my auto 68 barracuda to manual. I have a stock brake pedal and clutch pedal but need all new bushings. Let me know if you have a set... thanks,
Shane

Shane, I think I may have a full set. I definitely have the clutch bushes. I'll check on the brake bushes tomorrow and let you know. Thanks!

Hey All,

I just turned out some bronze brake and clutch pedal bushings for myself and another FABO member. I did post a bit of this in an older thread, but I thought you all might find the process interesting so I'm starting a new thread for it. These bushings are a massive upgrade compared to the plastic mopar originals and will last the life of the car. They give a wonderful smooth pedal feel too!

Normally I would chuck up some bronze bar and have at it. In this case since I wanted to make more than one set (and if there is a market for them, more in the future) so I decided to make a few mandrels that would make work holding and repeatability easier. This necessitated cutting the bronze up into bushing length stubs and reaming (in the case of the clutch bushing) or boring (in the case of the brake bushing) the correct ID.

do you still make bushing kit for 69Dart 340? I need the HD set. 1.0" Thanks

Chris your bushing kits are great. Fit perfectly. I am glad I rounded up a set from you for my sons brake pedal on his 69 barracuda.

anyone know how to get a hold of Chris. I would like to buy 3 sets of his bushings....but box is full.

Thanks,
Denny

I'd be interested in two sets, one for a 66 Valiant, the other for a 69 Dart. Can you PM me the cost? I'm in no hurry, these can go with the starter gizmo we're waiting to come in from backorder.
