I am having a way harder time with this car than I thought I would. I went to install my PST sway bars yesterday and I couldn't get the front one to line at all so I figured I would take it to a shop. The shop started having issues so we sat there and looked at pictures of other cars and other installs. We tried calling PST several and we can't get the phone answered so I am asking here. The car is back home with the sway bars in the trunk. On one hand it looks like I am lacking the long bracket that goes with short bracket and the bushing brackets. I am guessing the sway bar end links would mate up to the shock tower bolt, but we never made it that far. The car is supposed to be a 1970 Duster, but I have no proof that that is a 1970 a body k member. In addition to that I have tabs on the lower control arm. The parts that PST sent are SWAY150 and SWAY675. Can somebody help me out here?

I am starting to feel like an idiot. I can see where the L bracket goes, but there are no other holes at the top for it to bolt up to.

that top hole is in the brackets they give ya.. i believe you only use the one k-frame hole for the "angle" bracket.

lay all the pieces they gave ya out. should be two "angle brackets, two flat brackets with two holes in it and the ones you have going around the bar itself.

What in the h*ll?! So the sway bar is only truly attached to the car with one screw? So the bushing bracket is attached to the flat bracket which is attached to the L bracket. That L bracket is the only part bolted to anything substantial? WOW.

Usually can't go wrong with OEM parts, just saying! (Sorry about rubbing salt into the wound)

You are right. I am sitting here in this heat debating if I am going to try and install this or just send it back and go with a different provider. The way this is setup bothers me. I saw several that used one bolt but they had flat edges on their brackets so every surface was flush against another. This just feels like it would have way to much play in it, being vertical and all.

I'm sure you should fab and weld onto the k member some brakets

That hardware is terrible. Send it back and use Hellwig or Hotchkis.

I heard somewhere that the PST sway bars are the same as ADCO. ADCO are pretty much the bottom of the barrel.

I will consider them when its time to get deeper into the front end, but that swaybar... I'm not feeling the way that is set up. I have been trying to call customer service all day, but no answer. There isn't an out of office message so I think they are just really busy. I will try and get a return going and go with Hellwig. Hopefully the rest of their (PST) suspension components are good to go. I always prefer to support forum vendors.

Yea the brackets that come with the kit aren't very good at all. My car is a 65 so I made brackets to work. These brackets won't work for you but I'm sure there is something you can make. The brackets that came with my kit look just like yours.

PST sway bars suck. I contacted them and was ensured that they were bolt on and fit perfectly. Well, neither the front or the rear bar bolted on without significant modifications. The hardware is also pure crap grade 2. I ended up spending a bunch of extra money buying longer bolts and replaced everything with grade 8 like they should be.
I will never buy another PST sway bar again. Their tech support sucked. No help at all, they just verified I had the right part number and that was as far as they seemed to be willing to help.

your not gonna get very far with the wrong year lower control arms on the car

What would you suggest I do? I did make them aware of what the car had when I called. This is what they sent. I would have never imagined this is how they mount them. It is what it is at this point.

That ain't good. I hope they call me back so I can ship the stuff back to them. Just want a refund at this point.

the only thing PST would be on the hook for is if they didnt include the K member brackets. even if they send them to you that sway bar is not gonna install with your LCAs. you could put another set of bolt on after market tabs in the correct location on your LCAs for a quick fix. but it will look kinda funny with two sets of sway bar tabs on them

That's partially correct. It looks like the PST bar is set up for the original sway bar tab locations, so you're right, the PST bar is not going to work with the 73+ tab locations.

BUT, the 67-72 Hotchkis sway bar doesn't use the factory sway bar tab locations. In fact, it will bolt right up to the 73+ sway bar tabs that he has.

So will the Hellwig bar if he uses the #55917 "pro-touring" version. It doesn't use the 67-72 factory tab location either, and once again can be used with the 73+ tab location.
