What is your thoughts on the perfect car. What is your perfect car ? Mine is a 1970 charger red with a black vinyl top. Doesn't matter engine or trans. The 1968 Hemi barracuda is a close 2nd.

Mopar: Engine in the front, transmission in the middle, power out back. Pins me to the seat and doesn't cost me a fortune. If I had the $$$ it would be a '71 Challenger, since I don't its a '68 Dart

69 charger big block 4sp car. had one and drove it as daily driver for 18 years. Sold it to pay for my daughters wedding. Never could afford to replace it after they went crazy money for one.

69 Charger - was my daily from 87 to 96 when the tin worms got to it. My wife’s dream car is a 71 Challenger convertible- was her daily until it sort of folded in half!

'68 Dart GTS 340/4spd. I've never had another car that was as balanced (handling/straight line power) or as much grinning ear to ear fun as that car. Heck, let's make it a convertible too while we're at it.

Any early seventies Cuda hard top with a 426 hemi or a 440. In the early eighties when they were still fairly affordable I had no money. As my earnings gradually increased the cost of those cars rose at a much faster pace. At this point I’ve accepted the fact that barring a miracle I’ll never own one. I have my Duster and it’ll do.

Seeing Ronnie Sox wheels up in all the magazines when I was a kid made me allways want a 68 Cuda. The first car a bought with my own money was a 69 charger. Next was a 68 Charger. I loved those cars. Then at 23, I met the 69 Barracuda that I still have at 60, and let my charger go. I have some regret when I see a nice charger, kinda like when you see an old girlfriend.

depends on the day, not sure I can name "the one". I can say '69 Charger, '70 Coronet, and '68 GTX would be what I'd be picking from, but really any '68-70 B - body, '70 - 72 E-bodies, '70-72 Dusters and Demons. Ok, for today I'll take the '69 Charger... :)

No such thing as a 'perfect' car.

One reason some of us have more than one.......

Always wanted a '70 cuda 440 6 pack, 4 speed, shaker hood, Dana, ralley dash, no console TX9 , no vinyl roof

1970 Road Runner, any powertrain, buckets and consol. Any colour. Kim
Speaking of Road Runners, I saw this one just a few days ago. It’s in such nice condition inside and out that I had to take a few pictures.

Plum crazy 1970 Charger R/T 440 six pack 4 speed sunroof car. Or a curious yella 1971 Hemi GTX airgrabber sunroof car

Back in the day my former wife and I owned a pair of Mopars that were darn near just right:

* 1969 340 Swinger, 727, R4 Red, white butt stripe, black interior - Had a lot of fun picking on big block Chevelles with that car
* 1970 Charger 500, 383/727, triple black - Beautiful car and a great cruiser. Stupidly traded for a pickup when we bought our first home

Each of them were purchased very lightly used for $2500 each.

My current '69 Dart project is because I missed that 340 Swinger so much.

For me it was the one that got away in the mid 1980s. I was broke but a guy down the road was selling his factory black on black hardtop 71 340 four speed cuda. I can still see the car just as clear as it was back then, it had original paint factory ralleys and the dual scoop hood. Someone had blown up the 340 so it had a 360 in it but was otherwise as it came from the factory. That was my dream car since I was a little boy, just loved those 71 cudas, he sold it for $1,600. Funny thing my brother owns a challenger and I don't find the interior/seat layout comfortable at all but I still love the body's!.

I really love my Duster but a 1970 Mach 1 Mustang in Grabber Blue with 428CJ would be nice. I also would have loved a Baldwin Motion Super Vega!

Whaaaaaaaaat? That’s not a Chrysler product! The nerve!

In a Mopar, since I've already had a 1970 Dart, I'd go with a 1971 Cuda 340 4 speed, convertible would be great, but a hardtop is fine. 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6, or a 1971 Mustang Boss 351, arguably the best all around performing Mustang of the 20th century.
Wife's dream car is a 1969 Corvette 427 coupe, 4 speed, in marina blue.

having had most of the above at one time or another along with a 69 orig z28/302, a yenko 427 camaro, i would opt for the red/white/blue step sister to a mopar. a pepsi cola rambler or as most of you know it s/c scambler. drove one to try buy and payments were 150.00/month but insurance was 300.00/month in 1969. only made 700.00/month.

After the GTS, believe it or not, my second choice would be a 1960 New Yorker wagon (or DeSoto Adventurer)

Yes, I'm a little warped... but you gotta love 'em. Chrome, tailfins and wide whites are where it's at, baby!
