Shipping suggestions?

I have to ship a set of bucket seats from AZ to OH. We are most likely going to use Greyhound for this. My question is, what's the best way to box up this type of part? I plan on using two boxes, but these are the largest parts I have ever tried to ship and I'm just looking for ideas from those that have done it before? Thxs!
 
I used the large closet boxes, the ones with hanger rod that goes inside. I used two of the closet boxes taped and roped together then Greyhound.
 
I would take them apart, take the back off. Wrap each in cardboard then tape the two together then wrap them in cardboard. I get bicycle boxes for stuff like this.
 
As brian6pac said take them apart and out them face to face . Take the tracks off also . I then went to U-haul and bought two boxes . Backs in one box bottoms in another.
 
U-Haul: Wardrobe Box

I use these to ship 70-71 highback buckets. The seats fit almost right on the money 69 style. Take tracks off if sending those and put them in another box/wrapped in cardboard placed inside the wardrobe box.

Cut the excess above off the box to make height shorter. Works great and greyhound takes them no problem. I was told by my local greyhound guy, no more unboxed stuff.

One box for 2 seats.

Wardrobe box!!! Couldn't think of the word so I said "closet" box................Mind getting weak??
 
Home depot is another place, as much as I can't stand the place, for boxes which are inexpensive. Lowes killed the good nut/bolt hardware stores too... bastards!

The boxes at home depot are close to the cleaning supplies at our two stores out here.

Yeah @Treblig ... I have those CRS moments a bunch more as time goes by! I know what that thing is, picture in my mind... can't name it to save my life. LOL
 
Thxs for the ideas. Are the wardrobe boxes pretty sturdy? Can they handle the weight without busting open?
 
I shipped a bucket seat to Canada a long time ago. Kitty and I wrapped it real good in cardboard and off it went. We didn't take crap apart.
