An FYI about headlight adjusting screws

O’Reilly Auto Parts carries Dorman part number 42187 headlight adjuster screws with the nylon inserts that fit perfect in the A bodies. (They fit my Dart perfectly)
They are in the “help” section.
You will need two packages to do both headlights.
They come with screws and two black nylon inserts in each package.

WTF!! Mine are only 51 years old, they better not need replacement!:)

On my '67 Barracuda, I used Dorman 42125.
Made in China of course. :(

I kept what I could from the original. Definately the screw. Maybe also the metal insert to the plastic - don't recall.

Finished that off by setting the headlight with Hopkins aimers I spotted on craigslist and another FABO member was close enough to buy.

We (well he) got them at a bargain price.

Thanks for sharing that.
I remember those headlight aimers. It was quite a process to set up and get the specs for each application. It took time, and if your floor or Tire psi was off, so were the headlights.
I just shine them on the garage door and adjust them now.:mad:
