Sorry man, Texas has a lot of beef!
Keep up the pictures.
Are the sodas in OK?
I remember something around Tulsa like that place.

We ate at the big texan too... had a great steak! Didn't do the 72 oz challenge though :D Also did "Pops" and i tried Bacon Soda and Bacon pop, and it was nasty! i spit it out! Great times it was, though :)

Very cool pics, thanks for sharing!

Definitely on my list of trips to make!

Well today we made it to our furthest point. Visited Russell's truck stop and viewed their museum.been there before but nice to revisit.
Went to Cadillac ranch and let grandson do some graffiti work.
Went further east and found the bug ranch. Never heard of it.
Went to museum in Elk city and was nice.
Will start heading back to Louisiana tomorrow.
In New Mexico I noticed that I have a bearing going out on rear end. Can't tell if it's pinion or carrier.
Checked the oil and it's good. It had gotten louder thru the day. Cross my fingers and keep it under 60

I see you made it to the Mid Point Cafe!
Praying your bearing makes it back home.
If you are near Dallas and need help, let me know.

Wife has a cousin in Hallsville. If I make it there we will spend the night and be home Thursday

WE MADE IT!!! got home today after 2 days of driving. Bearing has been getting all the way but it lasted. May have killed the gear set but it would of been hard to fix on the road. Gear set is cheaper than wrecker and shop labor. Other than that car did well. 2,375 miles and dirty.
Thanks for support and prayers. May do again next year have more grandsons.

Glad you got home safe!
Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
Wish I still had a street Mopar to make a trip with.

That is awesome! My wife and I did some of rt 66 about 10 years ago. A lot of those pics look familiar.

Lucked out. Only a bad wheel bearing!!!
Weird I tried shifting the load on the bad axle but the noise never changed . Well I will install 2 green bearings

E-booger doesn't like the green bearings. Says they don't take the side loads like a tapered bearing. I would hate for you to be on the next rip and have a problem!

Been my experience is the GBs are good for the street however running any competition driving such as AutoX, road racing, hill climb its better to stick with a Tompkins. As far as running the 1320 I’ve never seen or heard of any issues.

Jim, what a great trip! Thanks for sharing a memory yall will share the rest of your lives!
