Just placed a big order with Detroit Muscle for all the body and glass gaskets.... This ******* car addiction is expensive, I wish I had a more socially acceptable hobby like golf or drugs

I've got all the trim work stripped off and bodys ready for bodywork.
The kid and I just need to remove the bumpers and we're set for pickup tomorrow.
Gonna be strange not having the car around
But it will give me time to focus on finishing the intake and efi harness.

So the boy and I pulled the bumpers and packed away the glass for a later day.
The boy pulled the bumper him self and was quite proud of it.
Cars prepped Nd read to leave tomorrow! Soo excited :D

So The tracking number I got from Detroit Muscle say I should have everything delivered today except the window belt line weather stripping. They are currently out of stock but I talked to Jim there and they are actively working on getting these in stock.
Going to do what I can to get the manifold buttoned up and efi harness modified to work with the SC setup. I have to convert from stock MAP, TPS, and ICV to a 2.0BAR MAP (holley or AEM) a GM TPS for the 90mm Throttle body, and GM ICV.
I have to splice into my tail light harness and run a fuel pump lead, as well as run one through my dash harness. The rear tail light plug has an 6 blade plug from the dash harness but only uses 5 spots. So I'm going to run my fuel pump +lead through that plug and dash harness just to keep it all clean and not have odd wires all over the f'in place.
I also have to figure out were I want my Overdrive on/off button I want it accessible but not noticeable.
Ugh So should be without the car for about 4 months, the garage looks soo odd...

I don't have a picture yet, But I picked up a set of Harland Sharp roller rockers for a 5.9 Magnum in 1.7 ratio #S70037
I'm gonna clean them, then get them oil soaked before install. But it's going to have to wait at the moment. I have a big project taking up the garage and it's not the cleanest of projects and I don't want to open up the motor. But I should be able to get to it this weekend.

You will be happy with Detroit Muscle products. I used them for everything on my '65.

Yussss.... I love the look and that what the kid and I will determine.
This car and a few others being raced in Europe are the basis of this build originally
I decided to lose the front bumper on mine, so i

f you decide to use a front bumper, I have one available. It's perfect, after $950 worth of plating from Advanced Plating.

Visited my car this weekend for a min... Ugh they ruined all my nice patina. The hood and front fenders had been worked with the dolly and hammer then primed. It looked really nice and straight. Funny part was he hadn't touched the valance. I was in a hurry and on my way to San Diego with family in toe so I didn't hang long enough to even think about pictures... lol it wasn't till I was in the truck south on the 5 before I though "****" should have taken a pic. no to worry will get an update in two weeks. At first I just thought it was lip service when he first checked out the car to take on as work. but this last stop by my wife and I could tell the owner showing a real fondness for my car which makes me feel a bit better about this whole process.

Hoping to dive in to more motor work with the roller rockers, finish the manifold, build a the blower snout support, then install the wiring harness and prep it for install. I have to also do some harness work for the fuel pump and sender unit. Also have to figure out my OD on/off switch on the harness. I have a few other bit I have to figure out before I get the car back but can't seem to think of them at the moment..

Quick Check in! No threads not dead...
Well its getting close to the car coming home. I've haven't seen it since it was in primer So when you see it next it will be my first time as well!
I'll post pic as soon as I can!

It's been in the body shop for some time now I hope they do a great job.
Glad I did my own paint and body work I never had to wait or miss it but my garage is still a dust bowl. lol

Any news on when your car will be painted and back home? Kinda missing your build buddy and would like to see it on the road real soon.

Can't wait to see it in color either. A thought on using spare wire from tail light harness...will the gauge wire support the electrical load? Might consider new wiring to eliminate possible/potential issue and provide piece of mind. You can hide the new wiring. Had another thought for your OD on/off switch...what about a foot switch (similar to a dimmer hi/lo) you could wire to a small red LED that'll illuminate when not in OD. Just thoughts. Love the build.
