I really didnt want to cut out the inner fenderwells so i did some research for a Stock high performance 440 and landed on these TTYs from schumaker, easy install with plenty of clearance, they do have smaller tubes which eliminates them from a race header, but they have excellent midrange power for a street car, and has much better flow than stock HP manifolds.

That looks better than most cheap small block headers. What size and length of tubes? On a mild street build, if they're 1-5/8 tubes I doubt you would have any noticeable gains from switching to a 1-3/4 or 1-7/8 inch primary tube with a full exhaust system in place.

Probably the number one hurdle for the B/RB is the Exhaust situation. You won't go wrong with the Schumacher headers but it leaves some power on the table. I am only guessing that if TTI or anyone else could make something different to accommodate Powersteering, easier plug access, and a full tube design they would. Unless you have a specific need for the bigger power you will be fine with the Tri-y's.

Nice!~ What they going for $$$ these days?
Thats the bad news, depending on the type of coating, dam near 1k by the time they are delivered, keep in mind these are thick quality pipes and for a little extra you can get the swivel extensions that bolt to collector, i can show pic if anyone requests.

I believe these are the headers I got for my Dart many years ago (maybe 10?). I remember having to put a few dings with a sledge. Needed some extra clearance. They do work nicely with power steering. They were ceramic coated then and seem to still be holding up well.
