I know this isn't an A body, but I though some of you might like to follow me on my 68 Charger build. I'm using a full perimeter frame from the Roadster Shop with a new drive line, a Gen3 392 hemi with a 8HP70 8 speed. This should be a fun build, no pressure to get it done, and it will most likely be the last one.

is that an "off the rack" frame they have or did you specify the pick up points? guessing the later since the motor mounts are already to go.

The chassis was “specked” for engine, suspension and read end, but basically it’s “off-the-shelf”

pretty cool build. I hope you keep us posted with regular updates. Looks like coil overs hanging at the rear...4 bar, 3 bar?....what ya got going back there. Are their plans for a roll bar?

***** (close as i can get to 5 stars)

Hi Denny, it’s a 4 bar triangulated ford 9 inch. Don’t think at my age I’m going to need a roll cage. Coffin maybe but not a cage!.
I’ll keep the pictures coming.

I watch in amazement and to learn......doing something along your line of thinking, but mine hasn't got too far off the "cocktail napkin".

Having seen some of your stuff and reading your previous posts, I think wherever you come to rest, you’ll do just fine.

Well, the body is on the chassis. It seems I've got a size 6 engine and a size 5 body. Next plan is to move the engine back and down to gain hood clearance.

Picked a color today, plus a couple pictures of the progress. Going to have to work on lowering the engine.

At the moment the pan is above the bottom of the chassis. To get the engine under the hood, the engine needs to drop about 2 inches.

Thank you. If only the shop was mine. The car is at South City Rod and Custom. Fabulous fabricators!!!

Compani Color will be painting the car, I picked the color from their palette wheel. So (I’m smiling) the color is: C2M MR368.42

Those are Glasurit numbers. Good stuff. That's what I like to use. Hats off to South City Rods and Customs.

Went to the big city today. Did some running around while the fixed my phone in less than an hour. Took this for the farmers out there. Looks like a pretty good cut.

And sorry about the smoke too. I feel your pain. I often think about all of you suffering there.

Here’s a picture of the fenders mocked up. You can see how much higher the engine sits, it’s going have to go down.
