So I have been searching and it seems Amazon has the 7577 for $390.95 with free shipping.

Is this about the best deal out there?

Man, Edelbrock sure is proud of these intakes!!

They are pricey. Thats why alot of people use the chinese knock offs from crosswinds for about $180.

yep, prices keep rising. I have both the 7577 and the chinese knock off new in the boxes plus I have one of each on vehicles. They say the Eddy does flow a little more at high rpm's, but I didn't try to verify that. You can go to plan "C" and drill the magnum heads to a LA bolt pattern and use a LA intake.

Isn't it funny how prices keep rising but incomes don't?

I like Edelbrock
I have been using their products for over 40 years.
I will pay more $ for and American product.

I like Chinese made products that cost less and very easy on my wallet...
It's a crapshoot on the quality either way I just don't like paying for made in America stamped on it when that is only a ploy to mark up the price and not a sure sign of quality....

Everything has gone up over the last 20 years.

Unless your on the Board of Directors or an Officer of the company....I've never seen a structure where you get a bonus for laying people off because profits weren't good enough.

Someone leaked a shot of one of our VP's $200k sports car in the parking lot. I thought that must be nice to have a toy car like that while some of your employees live and sleep in theirs.

Edelbrock has outsourced for years, nobody wants to admit it, because they paid "good money for American parts". All a company has to do is have X percentage of stuff made here and they can claim it. You don't know what's made here and what's not. Hell, they can make the cute little "MADE IN USA" tags here and that's it. lol I've seen new Air Gaps that were cast just as BAD as a Crosswind. It's a total crapshoot now. I don't give a chit WHAT Edelbrock's site says. The fact is, companies do what makes them money. Period.

They cast the heads & intakes here in the USA. Where they get the aluminum is another story.

That's what they still say.......I've seen some of their head and intake castings lately that really make me think otherwise. Course we'll probably never "know" for sure. I know I remember Vic making the comment something to the effect "As long as I'm alive, Edelbrock will be made in the USA". Well he's been dead since 2017.

And I do what saves money !!....

Yes Edelbrock is starting to sell out.. I know nitrous supply bought all of their nitrous stuff..

I don't have a choice. That's why my 400 has a vintage Edelbrock DP4B sittin on top of it.
I paid 800 for my Speedmaster aluminum heads to the door complete. Some guys paid 700 back on Black Friday. Edelbrock wants 799 for one head... And people are saying the Edelbrocks casting isn't as good... My speedmasters were absolute jewels...

I have one thing in my Speedmaster shopping cart. It's one of those universal air gap intake manifolds... It can go on an LA or a Magnum engine... I'll certainly pull the trigger on Black Friday.. and maybe even do like a lot of people do and buy a couple of them and sell one after the sale is gone and make a profit on it to help pay for the first... Seen it done on the heads as well... After the beginning of the year the $700 heads are now a thousand and after the beginning of the year that hundred and $35 intake manifold is now 175 or 195....

He maybe dead now but does that mean an instant change was done?

I’ve seen to many American companies make total crap right here within the states. The Chinks can and do make excellent parts IF there instructed to do so. IF you (the company owner) OK a half assed made part, don’t blame the Chinks. There smart enough to do what you want & OK as good. They don’t give a rats *** what you say is OK as good or good enough. You (the company) gave them a job to do for a agreed price and quality level that you (company owner) OK as fit to sell. If the company OK’s a crappy part as good for sale, then that’s what the Chinks will make for you.

The bottom line is greed.

On the mention above on the Edelbrock vs Chink stuff, there are a few things that come to mind between them.

Does the intake fit what your doing? Racing or cruising the streets with an occasional WOT blasts?
Do you need to pay the higher price for every last bit of power? If you do, are you racing?

To me the cheaper Chink intake are a perfect solution for many and even more so against the recent sky rocketing prices of Edelbrock parts.

(Which I think is due in part to the Trump/Chink $$$ war of words .... but that’s political and I don’t wanna go there anymore than I did, there is a forum for that.)

Well of course not. I am saying "I don't know". I thought that was pretty clear. Do you KNOW for sure? I don't. I have Christy Edelbrock as a Facebook friend.......I guess I could ask her "hay girl, is yall's stuff still made here or is it total chinkesium now?" but that might not go over too well. Besides, she wouldn't tell me anyway. LOL

LMAO! That’s funny as hell! Well! Living about as far EAST of California as yourself, knowing for sure would take me to be on the board of director I think or at least in the shipping/receiving department of which I am no longer qualified to lift much more than a 40oz. bottle. So I can’t work there. Nor would I move there.
Ga. Yes, Ca. no.
