The 360 (62 lancer) fits that makes me happier then a pig in ****! But need the year of exhaust manifold and maybe a picture of the motor mounts year of Bellhousing with hydraulic clutch, or would a z bar Bell housing work!, so I guess I also need a flywheel external balance and has anybody use the balancer for the fly wheel from Holly it looks like it’s a boat on right behind the fly wheel onto the crank I’m lost with the small block engines always ran 383 to 440 before my first small block, plus a lot more questions!

A boat flywheel? Is this driven off the front of the engine?

I use talk to tex a lot work in oil fields at work so My hands always have oil on them so I don’t want to type so I think you know what I meant anyway but I get the point laugh out loud

Please help part # for the manifold that will fit on the 360 so I can put it in my 62 Lancer

I'm no help on this but it gonna be awesome when you get done. Beautiful car. Love the wagons. . Manifolds off of a dart or duster wont work?might could cut down the mating surface to make it fit...again I have no clue just thinking out loud.

You have several problems to solve. Getting the motor to fit is just the beginning. What level of performance are you shooting for? If you aren't racing you can use the MOPAR cast iron360 flywheel. This has lightening holes drilled in it and some Mallory metal inserted to achieve the correct external balance. It isn't recommended for performance applications. Aftermarket companies McCleod, Hays and RAM sell steel flywheels that have a balance weight that you bolt on. I don't know of any Holley brand flywheel but I don't know everything. You need a correct harmonic balancer for the 360. Is your Lancer a manual transmission model? You will be doing some hump mods to get an A833 to fit.
You have exhaust routing, motor mounts and clutch linkage issues to address. A Hydraulic clutch might be the least hassle. Long ago I collected some information about doing a 340, 4speed swap into an early Valiant or Lancer but I don't know where I've got it filed. Long ago Chrysler published a series of performance bulletins and I think they talked a little about making this swap in one bulletin. Tex Smith published a couple books on Mopar hotrods and I think he has some information about this particular arrangement.
Hope this helps some.

P/N 3614368 (left) and 2863549 (right) exhaust manifolds (used on '69-'70 Darts with a 340) is what you are looking for.

Still have to deal with engine mounts Fiywheel clutch and pressure plate

What about the fly wheel and the throwout bearing I got to wait shut in here on the table for the fly wheel I just need to figure out where to put it on

Several years ago I saw a 62 Valiant for sale at a gas station in Salt Lake City. I liked how it looked so I went to look at it. It was an extremely sanitary car with a 408 and four speed. It had headers so I asked the guy how he did them. He told me that they were Spitfire Headers built by Harold Johnson and they were for 64-66 A-bodies but they fit with the 408 in a 62 Valiant without modification. So if you can find someone parting with an old set of those they might be an option. Laysons has them made these days so they would be available from them if you want to pay the price. You would need to make sure they actually fit because I'm basing this information on what I was told by the guy selling his car. So, if you are interested in headers at all someone on this forum may be able to confirm fitment.

Sorry I hate to ask again do you have a Set of the exhaust manifold and the most important thing a price

OMG, it's been so long now (2003) that I can't remember. Why don't you call them?

And just a tip: all of the yard hands at Wildcat are nice guys, but they chew; and when they do, they spit to their left; so when you go out in the yard with them, stay on their right.

Also, I found Wlidcat to be very honest because whenever one of their parts proved to be defective, they always honored the warranty without any problem, so I recommend them. I think they are quite reputable. You're probably going to have to bite the bullet and pay what they are asking.

I'm going to email Layson's to check out those Spitfire headers that grimreaper mentioned above.

If I had it to do over again (LA block into a '62 Valiant), I think I would have cut the fenderwells from the get-go. Then I would have had a wide choice of headers.

Morepower, have you checked out the other FABO threads about putting an LA motor into a '60-'62 Valiant or Lancer? I think they contain a lot of the information that you want. If you don't find them by doing a search, let me know and I think I can send you the links.

I used the conversion motor mounts that Michael Schumacher used to sell; I'm not sure if he still sells them.
