Lift Bundle End Supports repurpose thread

When you buy a lift, the seller bundles all the heavy parts up together for shipment by attaching them with 3/4" hardware to some really Hefty & Brawny welded-up steel end supports, which I will call the "LBES" for short (see attached picture). These things are way too nice to throw away.

I think I am going to use mine to a support a table made of steel plate, to which I can bolt things for welding, bending and straightening. (I need to learn more about building a welding table before I do, though.)

So what have you done with your LBESs, or what do you suggest doing with them?

Same with these...heavy duty but no idea what they could be used for?? 10 years of tripping over them.... off to steel bin.

throw a solid core fire door on top and make a work bench? Couple of diagonals across the back......
 
I used mine to build a welding cart and an engine cart, just had to buy wheels and use some angle iron I had laying around.
 
Mine were bent. Semi was in a collision and load was written off. My hoist came from an auction.
I think i used a couple of pieces of it to build my rotisserie.
 
I used mine to make a parts cleaner. Threw an abandoned two basin stainless sink on top and casters on the bottom corners with a shelf welded across the bottom. Bam....free parts cleaner.
 
How tall are they? Grinder stand? Bench drill press? Can you Weld 'em end to end to get enough height? And sometimes, ya just gotta say "screw it." I've got junk around here I should just give up on and take to scrap., one big piece I had for YEARS . It was an odd construction bench made from a Model T frame that had a large structure, formed the front legs and extended up and back at an angle to form a slanting back, with sorter legs "triangulating" towards the rear. IT WAS AN operations / equipment rack for a 1920's !!!! defunct radio station!!! in my home town. I used it for a work bench got in in 64!!!!! It sat in the shed through my Navy years (68-74) and I finally drug it up to this house in the mid 70's. I FINALLY cut the damn thing up sometime in the 80's and used some of the material "for something else"
 
Nice end pieces... I got some pieces similar to those made out of rectangular steel tubing... at a fabrication truck place i worked at... a heavy piece was shipped to us in this container...I cut the pieces I wanted off of the container & I bought a sheet of 3/8" thick steel for the top... It has a HD and LT Duty bench grinder across from each other ... 6" vice... Cutoff saw...& a short piece of RR rail for really beating on something...Its heavy enough that you CAN'T push it around!!! Just a suggestion.... Never have a heavy enough workbench!!!!
