I am curious about '65 GT rear ends. I have seen pictures of others posted for sale etc. but mine seems to be different from the ones I have seen. I know the exhaust isn't how it left the factory but the trim between the tail lights seems like it is and the fenders also seem like they are factory but I haven't seen another picture with the vertical pieces on the bumper. Any other 65 GT owner to chime in.
Thanks!

They are termed bumper guards and were available as as option for the front only, or rear only, or for both front and rear. They were available for the 170, 270 as well as the GT.

You're all good. The trim is for a GT and that's what you have according to your avatar picture. The bumper guards are correct as well. You have dual exhaust which isn't original and these cars didn't have. There was a HP single exhaust available that came standard with the Charger 273 4 barrel engine. There was a rectangular exhaust tip and a notched valance on the drivers side only.

Im not into early A's but that car looks great and I really like rear trim ....might be looking for a 65 GT !!!!!!

I'm on east coast...not feasable...nice car though

I am clearly a little bias but I prefer the early a shape to later darts. The roof line to trunk is more appealing to me.

My first car was a 65 270 post car. I like my 66 but I am a fan of 64's even more.
