I may have found a new source for the 68’ - 72’ motor mounts stampings. NEW PARTS if I am wasting my time and money please stop me now.

There seems to be a need there and as long as they are good quality and reasonably priced it might be a good thing to check out. You know all about them for sure.

There will be newly made STEEL tools patterned off NOS ORIGINAL Mopar stampings, CMM scanned for accurate assurance, trimmed on a 5 axis laser. Also made from correct thickness material. So yes they will not be cheaply made and the tooling cost will be a factor in pricing. So NO they won’t be $50 a set the previous aftermarket supplier charged appropriately $140 a set so use this information to base your answer or questions.

The 340/360 mount will sell. You might consider the 73+ spool version too.

I have but there is a much higher quantity of those available you just have to know the part number and it is stamped right on it, really no bs most times they are in plain sight and cheap but nobody knows what they have.

Are you the new source? Keep us in the loop of course. I'd rather support members businesses when I can.

I think there's really only a demand for driver side ones 67-72

I have proposed to my company’s owner the idea of producing them however they need to be marketable to justify production.

Are you talking about motor mounts (rubber/ steel) or engine brackets?

Yep. And the RH spool fits all 273, 318 ,340, 360. I think they standardized A, B, C body mounts an an effort of austerity kinda like the brake pads, and wheel bearings because of costs. GM did that **** for years. It's a shame Chrysler learned that too late.

I'm not sure "Chrysler" ever did learn "that." AKA before I sold the 3/4T gas automatic truck, I was considering converting it to a 5 speed (it's a 360) One main reason I didn't is that it was standard cab. Anyhow the 360 WAS NOT DRILLED AT ALL for a pilot bushing.

And I've always thought putting balance weights on the converter instead of the flex plate was stupid

i applaud you sir for your first step in getting us another usable part for our hobby. i think that they would sell well. if you are taking orders please put me down for 1 set. thanks for thinking of your fellow fabo members.

This is the kind of thing I love. I just got sent some info about another guy interested in helping out he has actual complete prototypes in process and sent me pics but get this he knew I was interested in doing it too so he didn’t say anything because he felt it was wrong to to it while I was working on doing them, so I asked if I could use one of the pics to show how to actually help out instead of just running your mouth like others with nothing to offer. Here’s the pic of what is in process by him right now.

Good work, someome needs to fill the void Schumacher left. Good available parts is going to keep this hobby going and fun.

I am shooting for exact duplicates of the original Mopar engine brackets and hope I can get them in process too.
 The pics here are not mine they are prototypes already in process by another individual and very nice looking parts at that.

Would the drivers side bracket be as strong as the pass side side seeing how it doesn’t have the extended metal side all the way to the bottom? Don’t take any negative comments to heart. The Mopar Community needs more ppl like u to step up to the plate. Far to many things have been discontinued never to be seen again. As stated b4 that a drivers spool mount is sorely needed also.
