Thought i would share my 360 build 30 over 9-5-1 speed pro pistons, 340 915 heads with 202 valves, comp cam.going to be a rip snort-en year, next year.
ok street and strip, small cam for now 262h, comp into the niness, rpm street performer intake, 650 dp holley hooker headers,2800 stall, with shift kit, 8 3/4 rear with 355 surgrip.going to be fun.Tell us more... I just finished a 390 build. What compression are you going to be running? Cam specs? Purpose of motor, daily cruiser, drag car, street and strip?
Should be a torquey thing.ok street and strip, small cam for now 262h, comp into the niness, rpm street performer intake, 650 dp holley hooker headers,2800 stall, with shift kit, 8 3/4 rear with 355 surgrip.going to be fun.
915 heads? What’s the cc of the combustion chamber? What year is the block. I think most blocks are 9.60 in height so with the pistons you chose that puts you at 9.573 so 0.027 in the hole (assuming factory deck height and no machining has been done to the deck) If you know the CC’s of the head and head gasket thickness we can nail down your compression, but sounds like you should be in the 9.5:1 area which should be good for those iron heads.
thankssss RRR.The 915 usually is around 68 "or so" cc's unmilled I do believe.
You have a capital M ..... My vs my.I'm doing a similar build those were the pistons I was going to go with but I ended up having to go 60 over and couldn't find the speedpros+60 so ended up going with KB 107 instead. Here is my thread this may get confusing because we titled them the same! Hahaha
My 360 build
