Yup mine is the 1.25 divided T4 and a 4” v band outlet.

Kinda funny a friend of mine called me and said he won it in a raffle and asked if I wanted it. I had no use for it at that point but he only wanted $300 so I bought it.
$300 is a smoking deal on that turbo. I know mine will be limited by back pressure with the smaller a/r and 3” downpipe, but I couldn’t fit a 4” downpipe between the trans and t-bar if I wanted to...at least not easily.

I don’t know how much different the early a bodies are, but I was able to(barely) pie cut a 4” downpipe that snakes between the trans and torsion bar on my duster. First time fabricator and welder so it’s not pretty.

Also, I found that there is ample space between the dash and firewall for an air water intercooler(1200hp frozenboost). But once again, different cars.

I’ve considered that route with an intercooler. There’s quiet a bit of room between the glovebox door and firewall on this 65. Would love to see pics of your work. Do you have a build thread?

How about a cowl induction hood and an intercooler in there? Depending on how wild you want to make it look. Tacky as F!

I remember that movie! There was a guy with a replica corvette at a cruise in a couple of years back and I was like “man, that looks just like the car from Corvette Summer!”, and the owner says, “your the first person to ever make the connection”...must mean I’m getting old. Lol

The Fury @ 1:45 holds the brakes so the 'vette pulls away. Weird its a Right hand drive.....

Great job as usual! You will love the port efi as compared to the FITech. Excited for track updates.

I had initially been looking into Dizuster’s build and he’s been 23psi with no intercooler on e-85. I still think it’s safer with.

No build thread for me. My setup is way too ugly to share with the world! I’ll attach a picture of my 4” downpipe though. Obviously sloppy, but at least it shows that someone with actual skill could get it done very nicely. Small budget. I picked up a brand new power stroke 4” exhaust for $60 on OfferUp and just cut it up.

The MS3PRO has been great so far. I've had a couple of bugs and am still working thru the tune but it's getting closer. I burned probably 8 gallons of E85 just sitting in the driveway trying to get it to idle. I have my VE table, AFR, Timing table basically where I want it and have taken the car out for some lite-load cruising using the autotune feature of TunerStudio. It works great and within about 5 miles of driving the car is idling great, comes off idle and accelerates great, cruises close to my target AFRs. Hot and cold starts are immediate. This particular model has all kinds of bells and whistles I still need to enable and test before going "full tilt boogie". I wired up meth injection control yesterday. I'm using it as a simple on/off and not staged or ramped but even so it has granular tunability for when to enable it;

As expensive as MS has gotten to be, why did you go this route instead of say, Holley HP?

A little "lot" of work with a grinder/ sander and that would not look bad at all "in my car" LOL

A lot is right lol
This was literally my first time welding and fabricating plus it matches the rest of the car. Luckily it’s hidden pretty well, and doesn’t leak too much! I did pressure test the pre turbo stuff though.

I ground my birdshit welds smooth and ended up putting more holes in it than the welder did, Ill leave them crappy and put a wrap on them. If they deteriorate under the wraps heat, Ill just make another one.

First TNT was a bust. I got one run in and before I could even get to the staging lane on the 2nd the engine wouldn’t even idle. The coolant temp was all over the place f...ing up the tune. Looks like a $16 coolant temp sensor sabotaged my night. I wasn’t expecting to set any records but I was hoping to get 5-6 passes in and work on the tune. The first pass was in and out of the throttle, easing into it. Slow ET/mph

Absolutely love watching the progress on your build subcom, thank you for the update!!

Wish you'd do a thread on "just how" you did that
Here’s a good how-to:
Sean Wally - Pi Dash? Pi Dash?! PI DASH!

I’m not crazy about the raspberry pi solution though. Boots too slow. Looking at an Arduino based solution now and pulling in everything from the Megasquirt Canbus. Will be more involved but will extend my MS capability and boot to dash instantaneously.

Curious - I am converting my Gen III over to an MS3X and will be running Dakota Digital gauges - would the Pi allow me to make adjustments in TunerStudio on the fly while driving (Instead of having to use my laptop while driving)?

Yes, you definitely can. The Pi can run a full desktop with Tunerstudio installed on top. This little 7" screen I'm using is tiny and a bit difficult to navigate TS, but it can be done. I'm using a small bluetooth kbd/mouse combo.

Thanks for the response - I figure for minor tuning while out and about it would be easier to just leave the Pi in the glove box -- if major tuning needs to be done back at the garage with a laptop -- I appreciate the info

I’ve been working with a remote tuner. It’s dialed in well. The Megasquirt is awesome. Start, idle, off-idle, cruise, boost is great. Runs so smooth. This is a quick blast from 2nd to 3rd at 7psi. Working on the boost controller now. Will try 10 and then up to 12psi.

Power does seem smooth! How much timing are you running on the 7psi tune? How does spool compare to the GT45?
