I'm sure this has been done before ?
I just thought it would be fun , make people think back to a different time! ( hopefully laugh or smile)
So no matter the the model or make !
What was your first car?
Stories encouraged!
My first car was a 1973 340 Roadrunner column shift auto 3.23 sure grip.

Oh I forgot to mention, it had a really rare hustle bustle factory dealer hood tachometer.

My "first" car was a 26 T roadster pickup. My dad & his best friend drug it home. Dad said, "When you get it running, licensed, inspected & put insurance on it you can drive, you are not driving my cars". I was 14 at the time, it took me right at a year to get it on the street. I kept the car all through high school & college. My "first" Mopar was a 63 Dart 270 I bought when I was 16 because the old roadster truck was strictly a "fair weather" vehicle.

My first car a hand me down 67 Chrysler Newport more door. Third in line following two brothers and a sister. I pretty much ruin the car, looking back I sure wished I kept better care of things....lol

1969 Dart GTS 383 Auto I bought it in 1980
Car was bought new in my home town.
When I pulled up in the car my older cousin just laughed and said "man a lot of crazy things happened in that car" He was good friends with the Original Owner.

My first car was a 1955 buick special riviera bought for $25 in 1984.

But just as I don't claim that John Denver was my first concert in 1976, but instead claim either Brownsville Station in '78 (at Carl Caspers) or Judas Priest/Iron Maiden in '83...

My first Mopar was a 1966 Coronet 440, poly 318 with PW and AC in 1985 for $500.

@Dicer

LOVE that 67 Newport.

My mom had one around 1975. Yellow with black int.

I loved everything about that car.

I wish I could find the only photo I took of my first one. 65 Dart 270 post 2 door with a HP 273 and a 3 on the tree. White with a spray on black vinyl top and a red interior. It ran like a scalded dog. Well, it smoked that right rear 13" tire. LOL

A little disclaimer !
I said first car.
My first vehicle was actually a 1952 Ford f100
Pickup with a 351 w.
I'm up in the mountains on a job.
I will look for a picture when I get home later this week.

First car was a 72 dart swinger bought in 1995 when I was 15 for $200. 318/904, disk brakes, ac, ps. Got in a car accident with a friend on the way home from the beach in his Honda, his insurance company gave me $200 and I bought the dart from his mom the next day. Still have it.

1967 Plymouth Satellite. 318, 727, buckets, console. I drooled over this car for years before i bought it. Family friend owned it and worked up the street at the gas station. I would ride my bike up there and just stare at it. He bought a different car and, went off to college and the Plymouth sat. I was 15 at the time and had been working and saving money for a car. He came back on a break from school and his dad told him to do something with the car or he would junk it. He called and said if you want the car $500 and its yours!!! Oh the memories!!! This is not me in the picture...

My first car, 1981 (didn't own, "the kids car") was a 1955 Chevy, stock 235 6 with a 3-speed.
I taught myself to drive a manual on this one, drove it for about 3 years till my father gave me his 1973 Barracuda

In 1984 I was given the 1973 Barracuda needed work but i got it going, I think it was dead more than not. I didn't get the title to this one till 1986 (after I got the 67)

1985, the first car that was in my name was the 1967 Barracuda that was given to me by my grandfather that I still have.

In 1968 I bought a 1966 Falcon Futura Sport Coupe 289 4 speed. I had a choice between it and a 1967 Valiant 273 console auto. I was 16 and into Chrysler's with a friend.. I went 4 speed of course.

1970 Chevy Impala crew cab hardtop. 350/350 combo. Metallic blue, white vinyl top and black interior rolling on Keystone Klassics 65,000 mile car.

A 52 Studebaker Champion. It was some kind of burgundy/purple color, kind of like eggplant. It had a straight six, auto trans, and rear suicide doors. Like a complete idiot while in college I traded it for a dirt bike. :BangHead: I would consider selling body parts to get it back if I could find it. This is a pic borrowed off the net, but it's the same car.

My first. Bought it in 1983 for $650 just as it sits but with a bad trans. Dad was a Chevy guy and wanted me to buy either the 68 4 door nova a friend was selling that was his grandmothers car or a Gremlin. He had a stroked 327 he planned on putting in either one for me. I couldn't see driving either one. I was $50 short of being able to buy the Cuda and he wouldn't loan me the money for it. I had to wait two weeks for my next paycheck to bee able to get it.

1969 340 Dart Swinger, black bench seat, column shift, peg leg, hemi-orange: paid $425 for it in Summer of 1975.

My first was a 55 chevy, around 77. Paid $350. Immediately pulled the blue trail 283 and bought a junk yard 327. Had a 3 spd on the floor, Had alum. slots all around, camaro bucket seats, loved that car. Something happened to the trans and had only 1st gear and being an ignorant kid a older dude took advantage of me and traded a running 67 Renault R-10 for it. In short order it locked up after I missed a shift with it`s noodle shifter. I`d love another 55 before I croak:(

73 lemans sport coupe. 350 3 speed manual on the floor.. paid $500 for it.. today they woudl ask 8k for the same damn car..lol

had so much fun in this car.. drag racing at an old local air port. my first speeding ticket for 88mph in a 50 mph zone.... blasts down the shore.

saw a clean *** brown one recently i was interested in but they just wanted too much for it.

1971 - 1972 FrankenDemon.......Bought 3 of them from my dad's buddy for $50 bucks when I was 14. Ended up with a decent driver out of the 3 by the time I was 16. 318 with auto console. PS & PB. Probably didn't have $200 bucks in it by the time I was done.
